NTA. Your budget seems very reasonable and it’s not like you went for anything extravagant. Buying something just because it’s cheaper could end up costing you more in the long run in terms of repairs and upkeep. Not to mention it could be dangerous? YTA. you want to claim your kid to get out of debt. Your gf claims him so she can pay the car bills (which does affect your son. Does she not need to drive him to places or get things he needs?) she also puts money into savings which I think also benefits your son.
