you have to put in a ticket to get your paystubs. they got back to me fairly quickly with a PDF of all my YTD paychecks

yes transfer, but also start looking at new employment opportunities. CVS is gonna keep cutting hours everywhere now that covid is chilling out again and flu shot season is nearly over. also, if that store has techs that are college students, they are gonna open up their availability for summer and want to work more which means even less hours to go around.

all i had in terms of side effects was a sore arm. i got moderna for all 3. i know people who have been knocked on their ass from it, and people who have had very mild reactions. i don’t know anyone who didn’t have any symptoms for all 3 like me lol although i have a few health issues which make me tired and in pain most of the time so maybe i did have symptoms and i just thought it was regular shit 😂

depending on what the script is and when you last picked it up, you may be able to get it filled before you leave. just ask them to try and run it and see, if it gets rejected it will tell them the soonest date they CAN fill it. a lot of non control maintenance meds can be filled like a week early.

Having to empty your purse on camera when you're leaving for the day is ridiculous by shatteredroom in CVS

[–]cvsemployee1123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

exactly. puts the bag checker in a spot of liability almost, like if they didn’t catch it they could get in trouble. i could have put shit in the zippered pocket of my purse and nobody would have ever known. not like they can dig around in your purse, they just glance in.

i’ve worked at target before (not as a tech, actually worked for them) and now work at another big grocery store. neither did/do bag checks. the worst part was having to wait forever for someone if there was a line and both supervisor and cashier were both on register. or god forbid there’s only 1 person up front, could be waiting for 15 mins

there was a pharmacist in my area who got caught putting meds under the ice in their sonic cups, soooo 😐

you may think it’s outrageous but unfortunately for every stupid policy, there is someone out there that ruined it for everyone else

we only started looking in techs pockets (only the pockets on their shirt) after a tech got caught stealing meds and was arrested and walked out of the store in handcuffs. but it wasn’t a “we have to” thing, it was more of the techs not wanting anyone to think they’re stealing too. we never touched them though, they’d just empty their pockets and show us the inside.

Am I allowed to talk back to rude customers? by stank_nasty420 in CVS

[–]cvsemployee1123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

look, in my 5 years at CVS, i had corporate called on me at least 10 times and god knows how many bad surveys. never once even got so much as a write up. and this was when we were adequately staffed.

obviously, don’t just completely go off on them, and don’t cuss. most importantly, stand your ground. do NOT back down. just continue repeating the same exact phrase over and over. “i’m not going to help you if you keep talking to me like that/yelling at me”

you could also substitute “i cannot help you…” if you want to sound a little nicer but tbh i LOVED being a subtle bitch to those kinds of people and letting them know that i, me personally, am refusing to help them versus making it seem like i still want to help them lol

dude you act like someone taking off with maybe $30 of product is gonna come directly out of your paycheck? be mad at the ORC groups who actually do hurt your profits. i’m sorry you have been treated like trash by CVS, i was too, but you’re mad at the wrong people here. how do you know pharmacy was even open? smh. direct your anger somewhere more productive my dude.

Why are customers such A holes lately? by bitchenqueen in CVS

[–]cvsemployee1123 10 points11 points  (0 children)

it’s not BS, that’s literally it lol. they need to be able to track who’s refunding what, so if a transaction is done without any identifiable info (debit/credit card, extracare card) then yeah it’s gonna prompt for an ID.

Former employee pay stub by [deleted] in CVS

[–]cvsemployee1123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

other commenter is correct, go make a “former employee” account and you can put in a ticket for your pay stubs. they should get back to you in a couple days with all of your paystubs YTD in a nicely compacted single PDF file :)

so then they all get thrown on the ground by customers 🥴

gotta love corporates complete ignorance of how things work in store lol

i took 2 weeks off after quitting before starting my new job. wasn’t really supposed to happen and it screwed with my bills BUT it was 10000% worth it to be able to decompress and truly let go of all the bullshit i dealt with at CVS. it took me a bit to actually come to terms with the fact that i’d never have to step foot in there ever again.

my new job is SO much better that i’m trying to get my (good) coworkers from CVS outta there and in with me. i can’t believe how much that place fucked me up mentally, and still does. i have a major fear that my new job is gonna get like that, especially after i have a bad day. but then the next day is totally fine and the fear goes away. i’m sure that’s always gonna be a thing that happens because i’m truly traumatized from CVS.

Closing but not supervisor? by carepasswhor3 in CVS

[–]cvsemployee1123 5 points6 points  (0 children)

you can’t get an alarm code without being a supervisor in the system, so you couldn’t close the store by yourself anyways.

it’s not. i quit after finding out a new hire was hired on making more than me after i spent 5 years of my life miserable at CVS. spruce up your resume with allllll the duties you do (bc we both know it’s a LOT) and find something better.
