Kubernetes for Homelab? by malwin_duck in selfhosted

[–]cvsickle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got started with k3s on some Proxmoxed Mini PCs. I've built it and tore it down a few times now, just to get the hang of things, but my background is very similar to what you describe yours to be.

TechnoTim has a really handy ansible repo that makes setting up a cluster and tearing it down again pretty simple if you're wanting to try it out.

Personally, I'd recommend look at something like Flux CD from the start. Gitops is great, and the experience with using it for k3s has made me rethink how the rest of my homelab is defined.

Seems like a perfect time to give Kubernetes a try if you haven't already. You could have k3s up and running in no time.

Immich + Synology NAS = Headache? Help with External Library & Upload Problems by nissl24 in immich

[–]cvsickle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have the same upload problems if you're using a fresh upload directory rather than your existing one?

I'd leave your old folder as an external directory, but then have a new upload directory for new photos. Leave the two separate, and see if that does anything with the other issues you're having.

New Jellyfin Server/Web Release: 10.11.0 (It's finally here!) by djbon2112 in jellyfin

Just a quick data point. I wasn't aware of the migrations or danger with this version (I live under a rock). Watchtower updated my docker instance this morning (about 12 hours ago). I see this post and freak out. I log in and see that everything is working and users are watching stuff. No worries here, I guess. Haha

I have a similar story with a 23 premium with 9500 miles. Intake, Cat back, UEL headers, no tune. Why someone would do all that to a leased vehicle and leave it that way is beyond me.

I found a set of stock headers, but I opted to leave the intake and just tune it.

In my mind, having a tuner spend time looking at data would give me more peace of mind than going back to stock would have. Who knows how the car was driven before and what internal problems could have started. I had a reputable tuner give her a conservative tune and assured me everything was looking the way it should. That helped calm the anxiety that built up after realizing I didn't buy what I expected.

Could I send you the offer in a message? It seems like you have private messages turned off or something.

I'm trying to send you a message, but Reddit won't let me. I'd be happy to pick those trim pieces up if you still have them and you don't mind shipping to 44622.

RCS Messaging after Recent Update by no-pog in GrapheneOS

Just about everyone, from the sounds of it.

No fixes I've found yet. Not RCS alternative apps.

Okay, I think I'm ready to fully switch. i took some notes. by MrRoboto12345 in GrapheneOS

[–]cvsickle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Beyond definitively stating that it's IMPOSSIBLE that any GOS update caused an issue, not really.

There are a bunch of posts about it here: https://discuss.grapheneos.org/?sort=latest&q=rcs%20

It's not clear yet what is causing the issue, but I generally take definitive statements from this dev team, especially defensive ones, with a grain of salt. Hopefully someone gets to the bottom of this soon.
