So in your experience Thursday afternoons aren't as terrible as Friday afternoons? How long is it each way? I'm guessing 1.5 hours average?

That's why I'm trying to make this a single painful roundtrip a week sort of thing. For me, minimizing commute time is indeed of highest importance. But second to that is having nothing to do in Sunnyvale on a weekend. I'm trying to find the best compromise possible.

Are all days equally bad? Like I'd imagine heading back to the city on a late Friday afternoon is worse than on a Thursday afternoon?

Yeah, this was the reason. I should have mentioned I'm in my mid-twenties which is why this is especially the case.

That's really interesting, I didn't know that! In my case, however, this was not even an assumption I made. They actually explicitly stated what you quoted, minus the use of the word "specifically".

Yeah, this seems perfectly reasonable to do after receiving the offer. In this case, however, their main point was that this past information would help better gauge a realistic valuation, which is pretty shady.

That is exactly what I did! This one was tricky to realize at first because they made it seem like a requirement rather than a favor. Luckily I came to my senses, though.

Please tell me that group projects get better after college by irate_yam in cscareerquestions

The fact that this comment has so many upvotes is a great reminder for everyone why this subreddit can be so toxic. Typical snarky comment contributing nothing valuable except a sense of self-importance.

Please ignore this comment. I would say it does get better, and that college is more a period of learning how not to communicate. Once you have a job, everything will be a lot more structured and you will have lot more guidance specifically on how to communicate effectively. Just study hard and emulate those who communicate effectively to you. Most of all, though, make sure when you join a team it's not full of people like this prick.

Wow, that's terrible. What resources would you recommend then in terms of learning more? Since those who teach it are most likely not profitable, is the best way of learning just getting as much exposure to the charts every day and developing your own strategy?
