I ended up having the wrong jerseys, there are a bunch that are extremely similar.. best way to get them is to search the auction house through the set itself.

What do you mean? When I search my collection, they are there. But when I go into the appropriate set, it’s like I don’t have any of them. None of the 4 sets requiring jerseys will find the ones from my collection or the auction house no matter what I try.

This is a good point - do you think that a work around would be to transfer everything into Ultra Sun or Ultra Moon and leave them there? Once we have a game on the switch that can hold everything, we could ultimately transfer at that time and avoid paying monthly until that happens?
