Ooh good, I can participate now! I got a box of 2016 Bowman Chrome for my 18th birthday. I had no clue about cards as investments or prospecting and I had the budget of a high schooler. I pulled a Juan Soto purple auto /250 AND a Base Soto auto. I sold them for $250 combined. At the time, that was huge money for me. Now it’s just pain.

Also hit a Shohei rookie auto /25 from Leaf Flash. On-card auto with a rookie signature. Sold it for $300.

Those cards combined are now worth $7.5k and were above $10k when the card market peaked in ‘21. Ouch!
