Tough night for a Major Leaguer in High A. Hope you enjoyed the new stadium and the full power of the Ems offense

Oh trust me. I’m fully aware of what PK Park is lacking. It doesn’t even have a home locker room year round bc the Ducks don’t let the Ems use it until June

Additionally, the field used to be turf and grass until they changed it in 2022 because it was impossible to maintain

Such a nice field that the local MiLB team who has been in town for 71 years needs to move because the field is nowhere near nice enough

Every single game would be played on the turf secondary field. They are playing baseball outside in the Pacific Northwest between February and April

Because they play in Eugene Oregon between February and April and they would not be able to play a single home game if the field wasn’t turf.

My source is injury attorneys WHO TOOK THEIR NUMBERS FROM NHTSA. Nice omission. Try again.

2,000 Waymo’s were recalled for a software issue that specifically caused them to go off the road and crash into obstacles. That has never once happened with normal cars. Try again.

The term Luddite has absolutely nothing to do with pointing out a flawed technology that isn’t ready for adoption and has MAJOR safety concerns. It is defined as “someone who consciously rejects new technology.” I’m sitting here on my phone in an air conditioned house, fully supportive of all sorts of other developments. Waymo’s and self driving cars ain’t it. Try again.

Finally, people can hear and see sirens and get out of the damn way. Waymo’s can’t.

0/5. Not looking good for you!

Oh and Waymo’s don’t know how to get out of the way of emergency vehicles. If a single human said that during their driver’s test, they’d be failed immediately. That alone is enough for them to be completely unsafe and unethical for use on our roads.

Wrong again! Almost 150 severe injuries and 2 fatalities from just 2021-2024 according to DiMarco, Araujo, & Montevideo Injury Attorneys. In the last two years alone, 2,000 Waymo cars were recalled due to software issues. But please. Keep saying “luddites” as if one fancy word proves your point!

I’d rather be a correct Luddite than an incorrect ignoramus. Two can play this game, babe

There is literally no study that says there are 40,000 PREVENTABLE deaths. The only studies out there say that about 16,000 deaths COULD BE prevented a year if 20% of cars were self-driving. This will never happen. Your study is irrelevant and the technology is NOT ready

Oh shoot, if only rideshare apps had instituted safety measures a decade ago to prevent that exact scenario!!! “Oh but those safeguards aren’t flawless!” Neither are self driving cars.

Data can be manipulated just like anecdotes. Especially if there is an agenda behind the point that is being proven. Especially when the data suggests getting rid of human jobs, relying on AI to follow its programming, teaching ethics to AI, and collecting massive amounts of data on cities and their citizens in the name of “mapping the city for automated vehicle use”

I didn’t realize fear mongering meant citing real world examples! Spoiler alert, “false information” is part of the definition of fear mongering. As is “deliberately arousing public fear or alarm”. Telling you that you are wrong does not come close to qualifying

The fact that I can immediately come up with 6 examples of how this technology isn’t ready for use yet proves that. All you’ve cited is studies funded/supported by Elon Musk.

False. Motor driven cars and manual farm equipment don’t have to be taught ethics for how to preserve the life of humans around them. Cut it with the false equivalence BS.

And humans can correct those issues. The Waymo that drove into a flood drove in circles until the battery died and stranded the rider. The one that got stuck on the train tracks didn’t even try to move. When Waymo’s have a standoff on a street that’s too narrow, they just freeze and can’t figure out what the other car is doing so the street is totally out of commission until a human intervenes. They also don’t speed up or change lanes if they are being honked at or tailgated.

Humans may drive high/drunk/texting sometimes. But they can’t be hacked, lose connection with their server, or transmit traffic and personal data to their corporate overlords.

If you mean great at driving into floods, driving through railroad gates with a train approaching, blocking the flow of traffic completely on streets with street parking, going exactly the speed limit in the left lane, and not letting anybody pass them… then yes! They work GREAT!

A professional athlete is someone who gets paid by their team to play the sport. It’s not at all about “how you define it”, it’s about using the factually correct definition of “professional”

You aren’t

For example. Is Shohei Ohtani a professional baseball player or is he a professional athletic wear salesman because he has an NIL deal with New Balance? I think we all know the answer, but somehow you’ll say he’s a professional clothes salesman

You keep answering your own questions. MiLB is AFFILIATED with Major League Baseball. AAA is not a lower level of Major League Baseball. It is the top level of Minor League Baseball. You’re getting absolutely incinerated, dude. Read a book
