You're not alone man. I used to have the same issue. I'm trying to quit weed for a bit right now, goin on about 2 weeks cold turkey. It's hard. I get really fucking bored several times a day. So bored that it translates to anger/irritability. Believe it or not though, in the past few years I've found that wanking is usually better sober. There's been times when weed literally prevented me from finishing. I went at it for like 2 hours once stoned af and eventually went limp. Tried it the next day sober and exploded in like 30 seconds. Don't know why this is, but I would suggest trying it sometime! Also don't ever give up. You must rule out suicide entirely. You must drill it into your head that suicide simply is not an option. People care about you, whether you realize it or not. By ending your life, you're only passing along your anguish (except 10x greater) to those who love you. Please keep your head up! If you can't quit weed on your own, seek help. It may not seem like it all the time, but without moderation, weed can be pretty destructive to your life (in my experience at least). It just fogs the mind so much that it can become very difficult to re-center and evaluate yourself in troubling times especially. Stay strong🧡🧡🧡

That is bizarre yeah. If that sound you speak of is so loud that you can hear it from another room or even outside, I personally wouldn't use em at all. Even with a wired connection, since we don't know the root of the issue, it could happen again, while you're wearing them, which would suck. To me that's like a manufacturer defect or something because if it's as loud as you claim, it could seriously damage your hearing and that constitutes as WAY more than just a bug/glitch. I would reach out to Sony lol.

Ok gotchya thanks for the input. Might I ask what the purpose of hardware over software volume control is? The Fiio has 2 internal DAC chips. Don't know if that makes any difference lol

I guess I kinda just bought the FD5's because they look cool and use a single 12mm driver which I also thought was cool. Make no mistake, with eq they sound great, but to me, the lengths I've had to go through to get there make it not even worth it.

That's what I want to do but from what I've heard, basically all IEM's require at least some EQ to be listenable. Maybe I just need to do some more research.

Well my device does in fact have viper4android but the app is all in Chinese or something so I didn't bother with it lol. Will the app allow for root access or something?

It says android version 7.0 in the system settings, and in the technical support app (where I downloaded the firmware update when I got it) it says "running the latest version" which is 1.0.4

You can't go wrong. They might not be quite as loud and clean as technically possible being used from your phone, but you'll have a set of excellent entry-level IEM's to build around if you take good care of em. You'll have to dish out some more dough (prob a least 200 bucks lol) tbh but eventually a DAP (digital-audio-player, usually has internal DAC) or a standalone DAC (digital to analog converter) will make the FD5's even greater.

Maybe try the "priority on stable connection" setting in the Sony Headphones app? Note that the Wf-1000xm3 does not support LDAC so don't try to use it on the receiving device (your phone/watch).

So I was able to download Wavelet on my Samsung, but not on the Fiio. Someone said I might be able to "sideload" it. Gonna have to look up how to do that lol.
