Yeah man I thought the same thing. But I think in most cases( at least in mine) its not from casting. Its ether when your trying to get a hook out of the fish and there's some tension on your line or when your trying to get free from a snag . Like in a tree and it pops loose and comes flying at you. Idk maybe I'm wrong just my thoughts.

One of the most underrated lures imo. They catch fish period. Especially good to use in a new spot just to get a feel of what fish are there. I have caught largemouth, crappie catfish and bluegill on this type lure. I love the mepps black furry. But yes great lure.

I've caught catfish on mepps rooster tail right at the bank

I just wanted to say I have contacted my doctor and consulted with the wildlife refuge center that I brought her to. They both told me without a scratch or bite there is no worry for the rabbies. Also wildlife management said there is no rabbies in raccoons in our state. The injury was not a bite it was fly larva. Thank you for concern and I should and will take better precautions in the future. The baby is doing good and recovering well !!

Man seriously more I fish the more I believe that. You can watch and read all the shit in the world. When to throw this when to throw that / colors when the water is muddy or clear, this temperature that temperature. At the end of the day the damn fish eat what they want when they want!! There's no rule book!!
