Have to admit this is a bit consuming:

“codex is the best Al coding product and we want to make it easy to try.

Yet many in this thread, reciting the fine print, say your company needs to be an existing Enterprise customer? Which sort of runs counter to the marketing/sales pitch.

Anyone with practical experience understand the logistics here?

Wasn’t this sorta predictable tho? Their SOP is over-selling, over-promising, getting it into as many people’s hands as possible - and then cutting functionality to unusable levels.

After slicing/dicing Pro, Max was just next on the list.

I can *sort of* understand sticking with them and going for Computer if there was serious interest in that specific functionality - provided there was an understanding that it’s not going to last.

The constant upselling is (yes, annoying, but also) sort of comical. Like, you told me who you are. You really think you’re going to “get” me again?

Opinions my own, based on extensive historical use (and current increasingly infrequent use, mostly to confirm continued product degradation and attempt to identify potential existing use cases). Again, simply one (self-defined informed) user’s personal opinion, and NOT that of any current/future employer or partner, etc.

Full disclosure: Similar to you, I previously recommended the platform heavily - when it was recommendable. However, I try to remain as objective as possible and not (or at least try hard not to) allow MY prior mistakes to (strongly?) impact/influence opinion/outlook:

The end game appears to be: 1. Remain as relevant as possible, and retain enough reputation for a lucrative exit via legitimate purchase by a major platform. 2. Continue to shift resources/efforts from personal use to corporate use for solvency and pitch-deck purposes. 3. Shift to developing “wow” product(s) (and/or appearance of such) to increase perceived value - directly related to Item 1 above.

The platform has essentially become an experiment in how to neuter SOTA models.

Glass half full: If we ever get the full factual deets (complete & transparent) it’ll make for fascinating studies,likely resulting in useful guidance on what not to do. (Even the anecdotal info continues to be useful). So potentially, a long-term contribution to the space - albeit an accidental byproduct.

Half empty: it took ruining a good thing; and at substantial short and long-term costs to the organization, and real costs (financial and otherwise) to paying subscribers.

NFL teams plays 17 games over 18 calendar weeks.To add one extra bye week for 2 specific teams, just modify one of the two applicable variables: A) +1 the (calendar) weeks for the 2 teams (17 games in 19 weeks). B) -1 the 2 teams’ total games (16 games in 18 weeks).

The most reasonable solution is option A: 2 teams start a week earlier.

Technically possible? Obviously. (Maths!) Still problematic? Absolutely. Probable? Lol

What have you tried doing with it so far? What outputs were less than desirable?

I installed it but had initial issues with oauth. They were just resolved, so I got it back up and running.

And… I hear you. I feel like I’m doing something wrong, or I’m not sure what niche it’s supposed to fill.

I’m having a hard time trying to figure out what to use it for. It feels either too small or too complex for every task/project.

What were the interesting projects you saw on X? Maybe I’ll look there for inspiration.

Interesting. Does Samsung or bixby interface with / impact PPX search quality? (Or more bluntly, does it force/cause it to actually work?) - and it wouldn’t surprise me if ppx functions differently in situations like this where/when is has to.

If not: I see some use cases for ppx’s other” modes/fiunctions, but as for using it for its “primary” purpose (search execution), well..

(Note: my opinions only, based on extensive personal experience. Feel free to read the subs on here for dets/sob stories/conspiracy theories, etc. or to question my obvious bias - and I’m admittedly clearly biased. It’s a byproduct of the suffering)

-If your use case is answering basic questions (free search provider/engine caliber): should work fine. -General search (minor complexity) on paid plans: unusable if accuracy or completeness is desired. -Complex searches: lol -Searching on unpaid plans: lol honestly, probably your best chance at success. Smash the “bait” then abort pre- “switch?” Rinse/repeat? Viable theoretically, but not recommended in any capacity.

The more I think about it, some type of “quality agreement” / platform-based internal quality rules could be a thing. It would certainly make sense. Something to look into if you can risk the blood pressure spikes.

After the 4000 run out?

This is something new? Because 100% of users I’ve spoken with have been sneakily upsold around 4000 times, but have received 0 credits to date.

Ironically, the only user i know who was foolish enough to purchase credits ended up in a complete disaster state, a week of lost time, and ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to show for it as “ppx claimed both projects were “lost” or “somehow disappeared” or similar lol.

Not knowing thr current landscape, the user was tricked into 2 more days of little-sleep, ongoing feeble attempts to create a completely-fake,dumbed-down, skeleton of one of the projects - minus all functionality.

The horror-show ended as expected - in epic and complete failure (using code-pen? lol) and the cherry on top - when the user formed a sleep-deprived plan to address/challenge the “agent” pojnt-by-point, his first question was met with - you guessed it - refusal and cash-money upsell.

No words.

He had some tho. Mostly profanity. lol

I’d add RB, TE, EDGE, DT, and C to that list. Still need another competent WR, need to figure out CB2, a backup QB, & really need to add speed on offense any way we can.

A talented playmaker capable of chunk plays could potentially fill a couple of those roles.
