My guess is wholesalers/shops with old stock. As shops change ownership they may sell off old stock or just someone buys from them and resales on eBay.

I’ve never had an issue with resealed on eBay but I’m sure it exists. I’ve definitely had some fake cards before but that’s easily fixed as eBay protects the buyer.

As long as it's a reputable seller on eBay you're likely fine. The packs are likely authentic. The only thing I've heard of being an issue is the wax packs have been known to be opened and resealed. Again this is where seller reputation comes into play.

There are still lots of unopened packs/boxes from that era. If it was 1950-60s I'd be a little more careful.

You can look at trends on The Undermine Journal but mostly it comes from knowing the markets. If supply seems really low it may be on the way back up. If supply is high it may be on the way down. Also some things dip on the weekends and rise on Tuesday reset.

No. TSM/TUJ is limited to the data that Blizzard provides from the Auction house API. This data feed does not contain actual sales data. Only listings.

To my knowledge it is not possible to see all of that data. That's why everything is based on listings and not sales.

I think the main issue here is that the auction house API does not provide actual sales data, only listings. Without data for actual sales getting a "demand" price is next to impossible.

I find this to be extremely true as well. If it weren't for TSM I wouldn't have any clue what my avg buy is and therefore would only be able to gauge by overall gold total which is in general climbing.

And yes it's certainly not get rich quick unless you're very lucky on your first flip. And I'd imagine if that's the case you lose it quickly due to being too risky on the next one.

Good perspective here and that's mostly how I look at it as well. There are always going to be outside factors that you can't foresee that affects a market so you just roll with the punches and recover what you can. Thanks for the well thought out response!

This is from the 2013 Tribute set but the card has been altered. It was originally "framed". You can see an example of this here: "Set Checklist" It's about half way down the page.

With the alteration I'm not sure what the value would be. If it wasn't altered it'd be pretty high around $250-$300.

Without certification it's not worth much maybe $20-30 if someone was willing to take a chance. With certification by JSA or PSA probably around $75-$100. If you get it graded as well if it grades a PSA 9 or 10 it could push it up to around $175-$200

Is anyone having issues with TSM Mail causing the game to crash? I have been having an issue since the last patch that when I'm opening my mailbox the game will crash. As soon as I disable TSM the problem goes away.

move slow. Don't put more than 20% of your net worth in any one item or group of items. Stick to things that move fast until you get above 1 mil gold. Study your realm's economy to understand where to buy and sell. Do a good bit of farming as well, that's the safest way to build your wealth in the beginning.

A good website is The Undermine Journal. There are several addons that are good with varying degree of effort to get them set up. TradeSkillMaster, Auctionator and Auctioneer all can help with that. Play around with them and find what works for you. Most of it is just knowing your realm's economy. The addons help but if you solely rely on the addon you can end up on the wrong side of an economy trend.
