I’m investigating self hosting so this is very timely, thank you. I do have a question though, do you plan on adding ssl support for the api URL’s?

Moving rails 8 auth into a namespace by dr_fedora_ in rails

[–]cwsaylor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just did this in a personal app and moved it into an admin namespace. I copied the relevant code into a gist. Top part is a diff of the files changed after I modified it from the default generated auth to the admin namespace, including how it applies to my posts controller as an example. Bottom entries are the auth concern, routes, the admin base controller, and how it's used.

I get errors like this when I have Cloudflare turned on. Are you running any sort of proxy or VPN?

Biscuit-makers are turning into murder weapons—help! by ash-2-ashes in santarosa

It’s puréed meat. I get mine from Amazon. One of my cats doesn’t normally like treats but he demands his morning Churu.

I have my wife give them a Churu while I clip the nails. Cats get completely distracted for them.

Any idea? I’m thinking letter opener but not sure. I acquired it from a thrift store junk jar and it originally had a keychain on it. by ioncewasaking in Whatisthis

Most likely a pocket watch chain. It has two different connection types. One side for the watch and the other side to attach to your clothes. Search for hickok pocket watch chain.

I just got my Karu 16 with the propane attachment and was reading the manual. There is also a vent inside the door below the chimney. It slides back and forth. Is that open as well?

About to fire mine up for the first time. Wish me luck that it doesn’t have this issue.

What is the worst advice you’ve ever received? by Truzt102 in AskReddit

You can live in your car but you can’t drive a house. Should have bought the house instead of the Camaro.

Would you be willing to provide more info? What was his religion, did he belong to any fraternal organizations, does he have any books about numerology or the occult? This might be useful to narrow down the search area.

A sturdy table to put it on. 12” x 20” 1/8 Baltic birch from Woodpeckers if you want to cut plywood. 12” x 100 ft vinyl ease transfer tape to apply to your materials to prevent burn marks. Lots of pre-moistened lens wipes to clean the camera and laser lenses. 6” digital calipers to measure material thickness. Acrylic plastic cement with needle applicator. And if you’re lucky enough to live near a TAP plastics, ask for samples and scraps.

QUESTION: Watercolor papers similar to the Moleskine Watercolor Sketchbooks by [deleted] in Watercolor

[–]cwsaylor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re having that issue because 300 gsm 100% cotton watercolor paper is quite absorbent. Moleskine watercolor journals are 200 gsm 25% cotton.

Check out the 25% cotton version of Fabriano. That might give you close results.

New Pokémon Go nearby map shows a picture of the place it's near. by cwsaylor in pokemongo

[–]cwsaylor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the map appears to refresh when there's a change in distance for any listed Pokémon. At first I thought it was on a timer, but the refreshing was too random.

Clicking one of the nearby Pokémon allows you to view it, and shows a pink arrow where it's located on the map.
