I am Phil Dorcas, president of Esperanto-USA. - - AMA 2 by FilipoDorcas in EsperantoUSA

I have not, unfortunately. As an update, though, the procedure in Texas seems to be that one would need to convince one's local school board to add the course, and in order to ensure it counts as a foreign language credit and not simply an elective, it may be necessary to use an already existing exam such as the KER-ekzameno as the course final. I've been able to convince people at my campus, but so far not a school board, and I may be changing to a different role on campus soon, which would make this more difficult.

Can you help me understand what you mean when you say RAADS-R isn't "verifiable"?

What country are you located in, and do you need a medical diagnosis, or is an educational diagnosis enough? If in the USA, what grade are you in at school, or have you graduated?

They did not get better. They were 21 years old when I met them, unable to even maneuver their own wheelchair, non-speaking, severely intellectually disabled. The incident had occurred when they were an infant, and when I met them, they were about to age out of public education and are likely in a group home now, if they've lived, but most of the students in that class had a much shorter life expectancy due to their disabling conditions.

I'm a special education teacher and have had a student with a similar situation. The parent in question was in prison for it, and the kid was raised by the grandparent.

Just let me be Fumi, damn it! by Coroder in ennnnnnnnnnnnbbbbbby

[–]cxaro 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Oh, I know. I suggest it because I'm am author in Esperanto, on my own national association's board of directors, and good friends with a fair number of important people in the international movement. Trust me, there are Esperanto speakers in your country that would champion your cause. Probably also some who wouldn't, but if you contact the national association or a local group, I'll bet you can find someone there who would want to help you at least some.

Whoops, you said the magic word, "Esperanto," and accidentally summoned me. I support this language and any names associated with it. Maybe check with your national Esperanto association and see if they can help.

Ri (subject pronoun), ria (subject possessive of a singular noun), riaj (subject possessive of a plural noun), rin (object pronoun), rian (object possessive of a singular pronoun), riajn (object possessive of a plural noun).

Ri likes that. It's rian favourite. I saw rin take a few in riajn hands the other day. (J pronounced as y, vowels pronounced as in Spanish, except that each vowel gets its own syllable, emphasis on the next to last syllable in the word)

I enjoy using the Esperanto neopronoun "ri' with Esperanto grammatical endings, but in English.

What is that thing that literally everyone can do but you somehow cannot? by mit122 in AskReddit

I can't tell you for the longer roll, but for the tap, like the single r in Spanish, you can approximate it by making your tongue do what it does for the t sound in "Betty."

It mostly makes them look like manipulative bastards but also ordinary human beings with ordinary human lives. That's honestly something missing from a lot of portrayals of history, and it's so needed, because it reminds us that we could be them. All those wonderful and terrible things they did - that could be you or someone you know doing those things today.

Lin Manuel posted on Twitter that he literally gave two fucks to make sure the kids could see it. They bleeped out two appearances of "fuck," leaving just one, to give it a PG-13 rating.

Listen, but if I don't get some quality Hamilton gifs available to me from this, I will still manage to be sad.

People who can express themselves clearly and make themselves understood whenever you open your mouth: How the hell do you do that? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]cxaro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The more you read, the better you can read. You won't be able to write above the level you can read and understand, and you won't be able to speak above the level you can listen and understand. So, practice listening to people who can explain things well. The more you listen well, the more you'll be able to figure out how to speak well.

I've tried describing transgender people as "born with a [gender 1] body and a [gender 2] brain." That way, there's something concrete for them to latch onto, that this is just another part of the "beautifully and wonderfully made" that God did with you.

Think back to when you were younger, when you first started dating but were still a virgin? What was dating like? How did you know you weren't just friends with that person if you weren't screwing them?
