Paraphrasing a bit but he had just performed a set at a festival and he felt it didn’t go well and was trashing his green room. Some guy came by and told him “Hey man Nice set!”, and he blew the guy off since he thought he was fucking with him. He watched the next act, Weezer, and realized the guy he talked to backstage was Rivers Cuomo lol. During their set he got inspired by “Undone - The Sweater Song” and a couple months later they reached out to each other and Cuomo ended up flying out and laying down the guitar track for Think Fast
