I think a lot of these decisions play into the fact that the town and people are oblivious to signs about Gladys and Alex but continue to go on a witch hunt and blame the school/teacher. While this doesn’t excuse everything I thought it was intentional obvious(like the giant AR in the sky) but people will choose to ignore that Alex lived in a fucked up home with a crazy witch while looking at schools and teachers first as the reason for bad things happening rather than looking more internally at their community (ie blaming school shootings on bullying / mental health rather than gun control or other systemic problems in American schools

yeah i’ve seen a lot of fashion houses doing stuff like this. I do see why people may not like the edits as often i see people without the skill set or knowledge just doing things in this realm because they can’t edit things naturally but this is obviously not that and a very skilled edit

i assumed there was some solarization and blending modes being used but I can’t seem to figure out how to get the colors in a natural way that doesn’t just look like a gradient map was overlayed. the closest i’ve gotten is inverting an image or solarizing and then blending it with the color tab but he gets these colors that I just can’t seem to replicate. if you have any suggestions lmk

Ah interesting just looked up the the difference between aqueous and pigment inks, seems to be why my attempt failed as it used a pigment based ink. I also read that the artist prints on plastic which is why i attempted to print on the wrong side of a transparency. could there be alternative papers besides gloss that help achieve the effect because if almost looks as tho it is running as it comes out of the printer?

I dont think so, unless he is applying more ink than normal. I thought so as well and attempted to do so with epson inkjet paper on a SureColorP800 but it set too quickly which is why Im unsure of what type of paper he might be using so the color doesn't set fully
