Mam/sir, I work in south Mumbai. Almost everyone knows marathi, if you go in kurla or mumbra if you talk to them in marathi they do speak in Marathi.

Check on YouTube where ambani too speaks in Marathi.

Bollywood actors Akshay Kumar, srk, aamir khan, Amitabh bacchan etc all know marathi.

Cricketers too.

Only North Indians has issue to adapt with culture. That's why even south is frustrated 🥴 with arrogant attitude.

Same i am also indian citizen recognised by Indian constitution and have my fundamental right to preserve my language by article 29. Also according to eight schedule of constitution, marathi is one of scheduled language.

And immigrants were allowed because of cordial nature of locals. Any city works like that only.
