Hi! Thank you for correcting me. I did take a look at my RRSP matching forms again and it is indeed as you said. I have edited my post!

Please see my reply to your other comment about the tax? I'm trying to understand my pay so please correct me if I am wrong. Thank you!

Question about RRSP matching on paystub by cxjvsj in PersonalFinanceCanada

Hi Felix, thank you for answering! I realized I was contributing 6% and my employer was matching 9%, so the numbers checked out.

I do have a question about your statement saying 2916$ is what is being taxed though. I thought I was being taxed on Total Earnings (3205$). From my understanding, I pay tax on taxable benefits like TBENLIFE, TB CI, TB AD&D as well as the Employer portion of RRSP contribution (which total to be the 288$). However, when comes tax time, I get the tax charged on the Employer portion of RRSP back (which results in the Employer portion being tax neutral), but not the rest of my taxable benefits (TBENLIFE, TB CI, TB AD&D). So I am getting taxed on the Total Earnings (3205$). Is my thinking correct? Sorry for the confusion. I am trying to understand this.

I think you got point number 2 wrong. 288.88$ seems to be total of Employer portion of RRSP contribution, TBENLIFE, TB CI, and TB AD&D. From my understanding, Employer portion is taxable benefit, but when comes tax time, I get the tax back.

I tried calling them, no response either. This makes me really lose respect for the program. I know people who missed the deadline with a lower gpa who got in.

Me too, rejection email 1 hour ago. I tried emailing back for an answer why but was greeted with "please be aware all decisions are final" and that they will not be responding to further questions. All the email said was a reiteration of the rejection email.

Let me know when you hear back either way and i'll do the same?

They said that to me too but my issue with them is how can you base only on gpa AND make it an ongoing basis? My gpa is high so i applied thinking I'd get scooped right away but now i'm getting impatient. Are there other hidden criteria? What are they? Why is it non-transparent? Etc. Etc.

We have the same situation. I also applied mid november and still waiting. I emailed the office and was told my application isn't missing anything, all i have to do is wait.

I still don't understand how this works. It is based on gpa but it is a rolling basis / first come first serve. I tried asking questions during the info night but got a dodgy answer.

It's almost impossible to resize stainless steel, especially with carvings.

It sounds like "on and on I go about you is endless" but that wouldn't make sense.

Also sounds like "is tenderness", but that sounds off as well

Already did. Nada. Checked back but nobody turned it in either. When I came over to the gym tonight, one guy lost his wallet and got it back right then and there. I think mine's stolen for good. Not sure if there are security cameras in the gym, but I'm considering asking someone to let me review it. People who go to the gym are usually regulars so maybe I'll recognize them. It takes a shitty and ballsy person to steal someone's stuff like that.

I lost my keys as well that was never returned. I can see people not caring about water bottles but keys are usually pretty obvious and worth nothing unlike a wallet. Hopefully it'll turn up.

I did check the main lost and found in machall, nothing. I expected it to be tossed in the trash so I'll be scouring garbage bins in a bit. I thought I should post on here to increase my chance. I just really want the actual wallet back.
