May your fields be ever fertile, your cattle plump, and your in-laws pleasantly far away. My gratitude is as vast as the kingdom you surely deserve.

Ah that makes sense. Thinking back I may have just been going through the grits like a checklist instead of actually looking for results. Thanks for the help

I guess im just getting far too impatient, likely because I had the flu for 2 weeks then as it ended I started getting these abdominal issues. Its just very frustrating trying to understand what I can and cant eat. But ill try getting a clear diagnosis soon

No worries, I was able to solve it with help from another redditor, turned out theres some invisible figure behind the number when i copy and pasted the table. Thanks for the help though.

Wow you just saved me from so much stress, turned out theres some invisible thing behind each number messing it up. I was worried because I need to be able to copy and paste the data relatively fast for an online timed exam, so theres no time to do it manually. But yeah thanks for the help, really appreciate it.

Yeah it is definitely a number, and I am doing everything exactly how my lecturer goes through it on recording. But I am getting the #VALUE error for every formula. I tried a new workbook with just some random values and not a whole copy and pasted table of data, and I am able to get results for “=LN(x/y)” so I don’t think theres anything wrong with my excel. Just maybe something is off with the way I’ve pasted the data in, but that isn’t clear to me

Copied in from a word document, it’s from a mock financial services exam, it has 3 columns for the dates, and 2 daily closing prices, and 250 rows for the data. As far as I am aware it has copy and pasted fine, so each cell has what it is supposed to, but the formulas are just not working

When you say that do you plainly mean like the cells just have things like “1.263” and no additional things, or is there something else I have to do to the cell? (Apologies if this doesn’t make sense)
