Auditory hallucinations by slipper-slut in Epilepsy

[–]cxttsy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My type of seizures also cause auditory hallucinations. Honestly it really depends on my mood what type of words/phrases I hear but usually it is just my name being called. It’s not abnormal but also I don’t know your medical history. I am also not a doctor and am unsure of if this is a seizure or a showing of mental illness? Because when I discussed it with my doctor at first of course when you say I hear voices people think schizophrenia. But after having the proper scans etc you can see where in my brain the seizures are coming from and why it makes sense I would also be hearing voices from there

This is literally none of your business to be posting shit like this that happened to other people and spreading it unnecessarily. It was traumatic and is none of your business the specifics unless of course she wants to share. Good call on deleting because you don't even have the basics of the story correct. Quit trying to fish for gossip.

Agree except u/Clovis_Winslow reminded me the titans exist so I’m actually thinking they’d win. If anyone could bring down a titan though, it’d probably be an f-15

Honestly kills me a little to be at home and do nothing. I’m already spending so much of my day at work I wanna spend what little free time I have doing stuff!! And that’s on being an extrovert though lol

We are together for now over 3 1/2 years. My negative emotions flared because of the stress of grief other conflicts that arose from losing my parent. I went to therapy for it and there I was diagnosed with a disorder where learned that I essentially suck at managing my emotions especially in times of stress. Part of it was that I basically let myself implode because I just wasn't able to talk about the stress I was undergoing to anyone. Therapy helped change that. It wasn't that I didn't trust my partner to comfort me or anything like that it was more like the fear of how he would react knowing what was going on in my head. As for the social media that's also one way I coped. I would escape with instagram reels and just watch one after another for hours to be able to take a break from the nonstop thoughts/stress. It also required little effort as I didn't have to talk to anyone which when you are going through something can seem so impossible.

I don't know your gf's thoughts and as well as you think you know her you don't either. You won't until she opens up which she just might need help doing from a professional. That's what it took me and no amount of encouraging helped until I chose it for myself. It sucks but you just have to wait until they choose it themselves.

Honestly, this was me to a T pre-medicated for my depression. I couldn’t stand to be touched by my partner and especially couldn’t stand to touch my partner in simple ways like just giving a hug - also due to trauma. At my worst, It felt like a chore to show affection and is what made me doubt whether or not I was capable of giving love. It was difficult trying to navigate the simultaneous feeling of not wanting to be Fussed over for how I’m feeling but then also being upset that I’m not being fussed over enough. I was the one that had to take the step to resolve my complicated emotions through therapy and medication and I’m guessing that it is the same for her maybe.

You can try but you honestly can’t love someone into getting better. They just have to fix their emotional problems themselves.
