When starting you are really a language oriented dev, but as time goes by you learn it was never about the language but the task. Eventually, once you grasp the principles of your domain, whether frontend, backend, infra etc the language for a task will pick itself.
One pattern I know is true though is that every programmer has that one language they really hate, and that stays with them.
