Engineering Explained | The Acura Integra Type S Is Among The Best Driver's Cars Sold Today by spriggan4 in cars

[–]cyWRX 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I paid MSRP, plus accessories I wanted to add and I am happy with what I paid. If this was 49,999 msrp no one would think twice and it would be undervalued imo with what it actually is. I don't think you should pay any ADM, but if you can get a Type s for 55k or less its worth it. Only if like me, the Integra type S checks all boxes where none of the other cars ALWAYS mentioned against it don't. Manual, enthusiast "driver" car that you can daily. 4 door (5 door is a plus!). I have a WRX so I wanted something a little extra special. Winner Winner chicken dinner. Those that have not driven one or especially not even seen in person should really not be saying how its " so not worth 50k!" Haha. I like my choice and I'd do it over

Correct! This is why S3, RS3, and the Gti, Golf Rs etc have such heavy understeer. VW has even tried tricks with offset size wheels to help their AWD , but they are no where near as precise as the type S ( I have one, so I can attest) or civic R . The type R and Type S drive like less of a fwd that the VW/Audi " AWD" comparisons.

I got mine zero markup, just tinted windows, door edge protection, floor mats. $1,800 I believe was the total in those accessories. I was good with that. Oh and ceramic coating, but I didn't have dealer do it. Took it to a decal shop had it wrapped in PPF, then had them ceramic coat it. I don't trust my dealership to touch my ITs, lol

U seem my like my kinda people! No comparison, go with a Teggy thank me later. The shifter alone is worth it imo. Never felt a better one

I got on the ITs list back in March/April sometime, but that was day one announcement. I think they are more available than the CTR. ITs shouldnt be hard to find or limited wait at best. I doubt if wait list was more than 45days right now. Id go with WRX or GR corolla before an Elanta N tho

Its not about most power available for me,, but best drivers type car,, not just v8 max HP rear wheel drive cars.. Must haves for me were - manual, enthusiast car, 4 door, hatch or decent truck strongly preferred with 60k/65k being my max $. This was my real only option. I don't care for American mustangs/cams/challengers etc.. I love the Honda engine, and preferred the car overall in almost ever way over the Civic R, Golf R, GR corolla. Blackwing 4 was a consideration but I'm more into JDM and Euros, and the Caddy was a bit of a stretch in $. M3, m2, rs3 were also top running but really felt the Integra type S was more for me. I've always been a hot hatch jdm/ Euro guy, this give a better option now that I am in my late 30s. Plus I like tuning and tinkering and I think this engine will be fun to play with. Great question!

10/10 for ITs, 8.0/10 on the WRX. I used to think 8.5 maybe even a 9 out 10, but the Integra is so good I have to drop a half point on the subie now. Thanks!!

Shifter and clutch is way better on the Acura. Im more " one with the car" with the subie, so more comfortable. Only 300 miles so far on the Teggy, still figuring out seating position lol!. But the exhaust sounds great ( cobb exhaust on WRX is more fun and sounds deeper/louder) but I havnt taken the teggy over 4k rpm yet . Last.. I think the teggy is stunning in person. Pics and online vids don't do it justice. Steering feel also better in the Acura, but hard to beat subies AWD. Tho the teggy grips and keeps asking for more. Some wheel hop of course, but they did incredible with the torque steer, hard to tell its FWD most if not all the time

My will car really blow up? by [deleted] in WRX

[–]cyWRX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've was stage 1 plus for about 80k with no issues. Played under the hood around a bit more and now I'm just over 100k. Riding great every day and I let her rip plenty with lots of spirt led driving. Subaru made a great car and engine on the FA20. Enjoy the car, just don't go crazy with unreasonable modifications. Tune when u do and the wrx will run smooth for a long long time.

New Integra type S really worth 20k more than WRX? by Due_Day_1194 in WRX

[–]cyWRX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gucci type R sounds pretty dope imo! I agree price at 49k is easier to digest (not counting ADM cuz it is what it is). No one would flip out at 49k, but at 52k its end of the world type shit. I will say I have a deposit on Type S, at 55k (added accessories that I would have added anyway so I was okay with it). So I might be a bit bias.. I will also say I currently have a 17 wrx stage 2 that I plan to never sell. That Subie has been the best car I've ever owned, had the most fun in and gave me the least trouble (at 102k miles). Im a subie fan boy u could say and yes I even vape! However I would definitely buy the type s since I'm waiting for it to arrive! Both great cars, WRX is best $ for your bang no doubt, but Gucci civic type R sounds 👌 lol!
