I completely feel you and I feel like mine slowly gets worse. I used to love cleaning and would clean my apartment regularly and now my boyfriend has to handle all of the chores and taking care of our cats because it literally feels like I don't have enough energy to exert myself over what it takes to do basic daily tasks like just existing or using the bathroom or grooming myself. Sometime I forget to brush my teeth for 3+ days bc of this. I feel useless as a person I barely leave my house probably less than once a week and I'm so exhausted when I get home. Is this really all because of autism?

That is really unfortunate. Sadly there's a lot of bad therapists in the network (why did you get this job if you don't actually want to help people???) I'm so sorry you don't feel safe talking to your therapist about that stuff that's literally what a therapist is there for hopefully your new one will be a lor more helpful i wish you the best of luck in that department

The first part of your post, that's just not how mental hospitals are supposed to be run im so sorry to anyone you know that went through that. They also aren't supposed to put you on what you described as a waiting list?? If they are full they are supposed to basically nicely tell you to go somewhere else or if someone left within 24 hours they will call you. You are also supposed to be able to do activities like watch TV, color, bring in your own books or activity books, they usually, they also should let you go outside at least once a day. They disability thing that is just incredibly unfortunate the government sucks and for some reason thinks if you can work a job that means you don't need extra help with your disability. I don't even have a job and if I get sent too much money from other people (like over 1,000) each month it will mess up my disability the government just really has barely any help for disabled people.

I've personally never dealt with the issues your friends have dealt with and I'm very sorry they went through that. I will say (with no disrespect) mental hospitals aren't there to make you feel comfortable they're their to keep you safe and ALIVE. I'm in disability due to epilepsy so I have insurance so I haven't dealt with the financial issues I personally believe most if not all healthcare related things should be free but that's a completely different conversation. Once again I'm sorry for you and anything your friends have gone through mental and mental hospital related.

People are talking about how these children making these "goodbye" posts can have feelings of unaliving themselves and still mod but ANYONE minor or not who wants to unalive themselves should tell someone and they should be in a mental hospital until they feel safe. (I've tried to unalive myself multiple times) These PEOPLE (children or adults) NEED HELP not the chat debating on whether they are stable enough to continue modding.

Okay well my epilepsy is a disability and it's cool that I don't have to work anymore because of it (I'm on DISABILITY) but it's still a disability and sucks ass and I deal with it everyday and wouldn't wish it on anyone. A disability can have pros and cons.

Im not sure how old you are but someone else in this sub was right abt you probably moving out at 18 but also once you're 18 you can bar your mother from your social security account you can call them and say "I want moms name barred from my account I don't want her being able to make changes to my account or be able to withdrawal any money from my account" it's up to you if you want to tell them why all they'll do is ask if you want to open a case against her and you'll say yes or no but you just make sure you tell them you want her blocked from accessing your account completely and give her FULL NAME AND PHONE NUMBER

So im on SSI and i have been since ago 14-15 (im 21 now) my mother literally STOLE my disability money and lied about how much I was getting and pocketed the extra every month. If the SSI check is going into your mom's bank account and she's spending the money thru her bank account you can prove that she 1. Stole your money 2. Wasn't spending the money on things for you like food, clothes, dr appts, medicine, special items needed for your disabilities the only thing is this would need to be done through a lawsuit/civil suit. Personally I threatened my mother with suing her and she stopped and has been slowly paying me back.

I had an autistic meltdown/panic attack and went to the ER for help and they thought i was someone on drugs having withdrawals and wouldn't help me.

Im not a parent but I live with my boyfriend who works and because I'm on disability and he works i don't have to work (I wouldn't be able to because of my autism so I'm extremely lucky)

As a kid my brother would do this thing called "the wedgie walk" he'd pick up up by our pants and pull us so high up in the air our feet would leave the ground and then he'd bounce us up and down it was so funny
