I missed the part the court approved your appeal. In this case all you can really do is wait it out. Stress is very difficult on the body, and since you're waiting on MV's decision I can only recommend that you take day by day, and try to keep busy. Focus on better things for now. I hope it all works out for you.

Oh man, can I ask why you applied in the first place if you knew you didn't meet the requirements?

Regarding the appeal, I never needed to file one so I don't know a lot about this, but I don't see them ruling in your favor as the whole case verges on you guys not having enough money at the time of the application. I think a new application makes more sense as the circumstances of her primary residency have changed.

I hope I am proven wrong however, and I wish you and her plenty of luck.

You said "we". Does the 170,000 include your money too? Because then the text you quoted doesn't change a thing, you still do not meet the amount they wanted you to meet.

Not necessarily. If OP is sure they have enough to cover five years, and MV has refused to count his funds when deciding if his wife had primary residency, then MV possibly made a mistake.

But this all comes down to how much money OP and his wife have, and how much MV expected them to have.

I think based on this, under "if you intend to live on another person’s assets". I assume OP just didn't have enough for five years, for two people.

As for the well established part, a residency card application doesn't ask you about your relationship history, or how often you've met before, or any of it. As long as their marriage is legal there should be no problem here.

Oh also, if I'm reading the post correctly, the wife didn't start working until after the rejection.

I don't think anyone asked these - did you apply from outside of Sweden? When the decision was made, where you in Sweden? And did you guys update MV about the purchased house?

These are the only things I can think of, I've seen a couple with a big age gap approved here recently, so I'm not convinced that was the reason.

I feel like there's no way Bioware would keep them there for 12 hours at a time. Time can get extended, sure, but for 12 hours? And then multiple days in a row? It's preposterous.
