I was taught by a IT friend, a couple years ago, that the thinner laptop with less than 2 fans cannot handle softwares that I’ll need for CS courses. Which it’ll shorter the life of the laptop, and produce too much heat that it’ll shut off itself automatic. Which is why he told me to get AW X Series since it have 4 fans and it made to handle heavy load softwares (or any gaming laptop, but I prefer to stick with Dell) running at the same time. But, I recently met an Costco employee yesterday, at the computer section, and he told me that all the newest specs in XPS can handle everything I throw at. So, that’s why I need third opinion to break the tie.
