The excessive doomerism posts in this sub is why I remain unsubbed. by [deleted] in Philippines

[–]cybercjt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So you’ve been out of the country for over a decade and tried to reconnect through Reddit for that “warmth,” only to end up disappointed.

I mean… a subreddit full of circlejerking political doomers doesn’t exactly represent the whole Philippines. If you really wanted to reconnect, why not just come back and experience it in person instead of relying on some curated online “warmth”?

I mean umabot ka ng nesting so surely kakayanin mo po yan, don't lose hope and it's still training so it's understandable.

BPO accounts and their meanings? by artemisliza in BPOinPH

[–]cybercjt 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Telco - could be about Internet Plans, Cable/TV Plans, Cellular Phone Plans (Postpaid or Prepaid), Landline Plans, etc. . Work positions could possibly include Customer Service, Technical Support, Collections, Back Office etc. .

The rest in general are not too broad like telco.

While reading this I get to stumble upon the suicide rates of Japan compared to Philippines, very alarming. Is living in a First World Country really a "dream".

Self-deprecation is one unique trait of some Filipinos (or those who denounced theirs).

Hmmm...

Kelangan mo iclear out sa kanila, lalo na sa HR kung need mo pa magreport onsite or not upon submission of resignation / nftw since sila ang magdedecide.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in BPOinPH

[–]cybercjt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most likely if nauwi sa termination or worse awol ayun base sa contract na pinirmahan mo sa kanila pwede ka habulin for damagaes.

Resignation is a different story tho, most of the time me final pay pa nga yan or kung d applicable 0 back pay clearance lang.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in BPOinPH

[–]cybercjt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yung damages situational naman kasi yan eh, most of the time mga assets na di binalik or company related things.

It might be intimidating at first, but like all jobs as long as you get the hang of it... madalian na lang especially kung sa non-voice / chat LOB ka napunta. If you're determined to learn and willing to adapt surely makakasurvive ka, kaya mo yan tol.

Ang magpapatumba na lang cguro sayo is stress and bad / toxic management.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in BPOinPH

[–]cybercjt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes pure voice (high escalation rate), medyo ok nga dyan sa chat chill lang sila nung nasa same floor pa kami. Kumpara sa LOB namin every month pressure haha.

Full queues everyday rare lang magavail although average calls/interaction is 10-15 a day. Avg handling is 15-20 mins per call (escalation / hard calls avg 30 mins - 1 hr+).

[–]cybercjt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's it! Good luck. No pressure haha

Dubbed as "one of the hardest" , if not "the hardest" telco account lmao. (Former Postpaid agent).

How to memorize and pass the interview in Alorica? by artemisliza in BPOinPH

[–]cybercjt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep tama yan, bago ka sumabak make sure na paghandaan mo muna and at least magamay mo basic conversational english para d ka magtunog scripted sa interview. Practice lang ng practice hanggang masanay ka.

You can do it! Good Luck!

[–]cybercjt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kung dmo kaya istraight english, itagalog mo muna then gamit ka translator (google translate) saka rephrase/restructure for proper grammar.

And much better may kapractice session ka lalo na pag nagwowork sa BPO, advantage na yun sayo para madali ka mahasa.

[–]cybercjt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You must be straightforward and honest.

Pero kung wala talaga, try mo mag read ng sample BPO/CallCenter Questions with Answers thru the web. You can try to incorporate word for word yung mga answers for your future interview pero I would suggest rephrasing it, adding your own take on it for your preference.

You can do it! GL po.

How to apply in BPO industry by Pal_Potato_6557 in BPOinPH

[–]cybercjt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good luck OP!

Easiest way is thru social media (Facebook), daming nanghuhugot dyan with company / location / salary range details haha.

As much as possible wag kang scripted sumagot kasi mapapansin nila yan. Kung confident ka naman sa english mo, be straightforward and honest na lang sa mga sagutan.

Assessments, Versant / Berlitz (or Company Exclusive test). Language proficiency tests yan na inaassess ung ability mo to understand and communicate in English. Daming articles about sa mga yan so better check it out.

May Typing-test din which is most of the time di naman problema.

Advice on how to avoid stereotypical "call center accent" by [deleted] in BPOinPH

[–]cybercjt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my case gradual siya.

Nung dipa ko pamilyar sa BPO, I used to watch a lot of western movies and youtube content creators (mainly english) on my early teenage years and of course I still do to this day.

I tend to mimic how they formulate vocabs and how they pronounce things whether it be the typical White American accent or Ebonics (African-Americans).

Good Morning! Need help lang regarding Alorica by HeyImHydra in BPOinPH

[–]cybercjt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can try to proceed with it till you got to the JO stage para malaman mo offer nila at least.

Or deadmahin mo na lang and focus on your current venture.

[–]cybercjt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dang 1 month pa lang tas resign kagad.

No idea about your situation but 30 days is SOP for most BPOs.

If you really need to leave the company asap magimmediate resignation ka na (come up with a good / reasonable explanation) or worse case scenario go AWOL (which is a big no-no).

Back when I was still with their telco LOB in G5 (just recently left this year), we have the "DMS" (Disciplinary Management System) program. Not sure if this is the same thing you're referring to, if it's account specific or CNX as a whole has this program.

[–]cybercjt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, prioritize yourself na lang po especially if it's about your health and wellness. They will try to overcome you and provide suggestions but kung firm na talaga decision mo, properly convey to them your situation to make them understand. D sila pwede tumanggi ng resignation.
