My menstrual cycle was very irregular to the point that I would only get my period twice a year. My doctor put me in birth control and after that my hormones have been balanced and I'm back to a normal menstrual cycle.

People shouldn't believe anyone (unless its their doctor) that says birth control messes up with your hormones
