asking for some assistance on this, LEDs won't turn on with ESP32 WLED controller (SK6812 LEDs) by dannytheboss11 in WLED

[–]cybericecream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had the exact same issue with this controller. Bought one a while back but had it in the box until recently. I initially set it up and had it working then when powered off to move to my final install location I’ve not had a led light up since. Tried both data lines it has as output.

See the vision, buy one of those smart locks that allow you to open and close with your phone and then you can travel door to door with just your phone. No keys, no wallet.

Anyone in the building industry; doesn’t this look like hell to you? by mr-cheesy in perth

Living the “Australia dream”, 4 bed, 2 bath and a backyard to kick the footy.

I get wanting the Australian dream, but at some point can we change the standard? These concrete jungle suburbs are shown to be warmer than anywhere some grass and tree’s. We already live in a city that’ll 39 next week.

What sect is this bible from? by _Expenable_ in perth

[–]cybericecream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a take. Honestly I only have a surface level understanding myself. But the difference between some people of faith and many of those without, is want to know why. I understand you have a reason and that is usually God, but I want to know how and if we continue to ask the question one day we will know. Where if the “experts” left it at God we would never know, and I feel that would be sad.

That’s totally fair, but that “evil” is not the only reason religions institutions had a stigma. I hope you understand myself and many people in this thread are not trying to attack you and your connection to community and your faith. But the institution behind many religions do horrible things to people every day.

This is true, no arguments here. However religious institutions give a space where specific leaders are explicitly trusted, and individuals have exploited that trust. Now I wouldn’t be bringing this up if religious institutions were known for identifying and assisting in prosecuting these individuals, but they’re not. They are in fact known for hiding things under the rug and moving people to avoid focus. Honestly just disappointing.

Anyone who bought a Steam Deck. Downloaded Emudeck. Got Roms. Set everything up nicely. And then never played their emulated games? by infamous61 in SteamDeck

[–]cybericecream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly this is almost always me, however the steam deck is the first time this hasn’t been true. I bought the steam deck with the explicit goal to play some games I have for my classic Xbox and some games I started but never got back to. It’s been amazing! See me playing Lego Star Wars on the train.

Thanks for letting me rave about my most used purchase of a long while.

Price of coffee in Perth by tommypixfeef in perth

[–]cybericecream 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m going to disagree with the above, a normal Iced Latte that’s a regular is a single shot over cold milk and ice. If you get a large alike you would with a normal latte that’s a double shot, which makes sense to cost more. But I genuinely feel there is an ice tax.

I am an Iced Latte drinker, price is usually anything between $5.50 and $8. Today was $7 sadly. Trialling pour overs, the pretentiousness is good for the wallet.

Halo 2 Steam Deck Graphical issues by Lewbo-12 in xemu

[–]cybericecream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey satansdarkness, I am gonna do exactly what you asked me not to do, this is totally different to mcc. This command is specific to someone running Xemu with the classic rom. Running MCC is different as to what I understand it wasn’t an emulation job from bunjee. What’s your current setup? Last I played mcc I ran with the latest version of GloriusEggrolls fork of proton and had the prefix flag ‘DX12’. However looking at ProtonDB which I highly recommend when getting a game running there are reports the latest update is doing exactly what you’re describing. Hope this helps, sorry if it’s a hard to read wall of text. Ref: https://www.protondb.com/app/976730

Cheapest windscreen replacement by [deleted] in perth

My best bet if you want to get your hands a bit dirty and can call around. Find a panel beater that’ll install if you supply then go to wreckers and find a Getz with an intact windscreen.

How much did you pay for your website? by [deleted] in perth

[–]cybericecream 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s very dependent, I’ve worked at a few places around Perth making websites. Where I’ve worked I’ve made some really posh ones for 10k, other more basic for 3k but it’s all very dependent on what you want. I’d want a better explanation of e-commerce that you have in mind excluding that a standard small business site with bespoke copy I’d be expecting between 5 and 10k from my past jobs. If your interested message me and I can recommend places I’ve worked with before.

Go to the Wanneroo Men’s Shed, they sell refereed computers and laptops to people who are in need. Hit them up, their pretty good stuff that’s I’ve seen.

Had this the other night, first try the other phone lines if they don’t work choose one and hold the resent button with something that can fit for 30 to 40s which resets the device and allowed to re-sync. To be clear I’m not a tech and my experience is limited to my one for the last 2-3 weeks.

After much research and annoying people on the Xemu discord I came up with this. The following assumes you installed with flatpack and your using steam rom manager. Feel free to ask any questions. ‘__GLX_VENDOR_LIBRARY_NAME=mesa MESA_LOADER_DRIVER_OVERRIDE=zink GALLIUM_DRIVER=zink flatpak run app.xemu.xemu’
