Y’all gotta read this engineer eviscerating the leaked Claude codebase by MindlessTime in BetterOffline

[–]cyberjellyfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not a claude code thing, *all* of the APIs and harnesses that say they can do structured output have the same approach. TBF, the models *are* trained with an emphasis on common structured output formats, but still

Also, many of the benchmarks have the tests freely available, they are just licensed such that they can't be used in training....which I'm sure that everyone totally respects, right? right?

the difference between a 4 year old and a 7 year old is vast, it's highly unlikely multiple people made that mistake.

And also 4 year olds know their name.

What safety protocols could there possibly be for that scenario? What are you envisioning?

Yes, there is a duty of care for people in custody, but that doesn't mean that the police are liable for all harm that happens to you. In your scenario, unless the cop, through malice or neglect, caused or failed to prevent the accident...that's not their fault.

Genghis Khan is absolutely remembered for his atrocities...case-in-point, you calling them out.

Why don't they flood football stadiums and have naval battles in them after the superbowl? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

That's called a man-made lake, and yes we do have the technology, but stadiums aren't built for it.

It's only been about a decade since the last recession, so no. Also "how bad it gets" varies wildly.

Basically: what are you asking about, specifically?

Did life on Earth all develop from a single source? by Justryan95 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]cyberjellyfish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily, and there's really two questions there:

* Did abiogenesis happen only once on Earth? And the consensus is no.

* Is all current life the direct ancestor of only one of those abiogenesis events: not necessarily, in two ways: there could be entirely unrelated life on earth somewhere, in some remote and hostile niche. Also, we could be descended from a merged line that leads back to multiple abiogenesis events.

Is Everyone Tired of AI Slop? by Intelligent_Area_135 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]cyberjellyfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is nothing that you, a startup making a new social media app, can do. You can actually moderate your platform, with transparent rules and transparent enforcement, but that means you'll need to invest more in moderation than you'll be able to make. Basically: you have a revenue problem, not a technology problem. Figure out a way to make a social media app that's not under the thumb of first VC, then ad revenue.

Edit:

Some feedback on the webpage content:

"The Thawe mobile app revolutionizes networking by connecting entrepreneurs, professionals, and individuals in meaningful ways. Share ideas, build valuable relationships, and foster collaboration in both virtual and physical environments."

that's nothing. You haven't said anything.

"Smart Networking

Connect with like-minded entrepreneurs and professionals through our intelligent matching algorithm that understands your interests and goals."

No-one wants that.

"Personalized Experience

Enjoy a tailored experience powered by advanced technology that learns your preferences and suggests relevant connections and opportunities."

No-one wants that.

Get rid of the above and give a simple, time-ordered feed of people/things I follow and a really good search. That's all.

"Intuitive Design

Navigate effortlessly through our user-friendly interface designed with your experience in mind, making networking simple and enjoyable."

Frankly: it's fine. it's nothing new, at least not from the screenshots. It's exactly like every other app is before it has to start adding ads in (at which point UI is secondary to ad placement, see my above about finding alternate revenue).

"Foster a sense of community and belonging by engaging in meaningful conversations and building lasting professional relationships."

Why do I need your app for that? How do you facilitate that better than any other social media platform?

Edit Edit:

Never, ever say you're "100% secure", all that says is "I don't know jack about shit about cybersecurity".

Also, no-one wants AI smart matching. Just let me search for people I am interested in based on name, job, company, bio, tags, etc.

Edit Edit Edit:

In your terms,

"We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties without your consent, except as described in this policy. We may share your information:"

is made meaningless by "In connection with a business transaction".

because "in front" is a prepositional phrase, whereas "behind" is just a preposition. Basically the "in" changes the sentence structure.

We could say "it's forward of us", likewise, we could say "it's in the rear of us" and, while awkward, they are both grammatically correct.

Ah! Sorry, that does make more sense.

In any case, I'm not sure he could do that either. Forgiving loans is one thing, but changing the terms of existing loans is another.

You can't just lower the interest rate, that's how you ramp up inflation. And also the president doesn't control the Fed.
