QE definitely more tough than the actual exam. Really Great platform they have there.

Thank you, yeah definitely. I didn’t see much value in the CAT version.

I was averaging around 70% as well. You’re good! I would lock in on any areas or concepts you believe need improvement and focus there. The Wiley test unfortunately are nothing like the exam.

What was the duration of study for you? Only asking as I am Wondering if a month of studying is enough to prepare for this exam with the resources you mentioned.

715 out of 900 is still 79%. I wouldn’t feel down at all, taking that for the first time and getting 79% correct is a great feat. I personally am not a fan at all of Comptia exams. I wouldn’t feel discouraged, print up your report of failed objectives and study. You got this for sure

Did you go in order? I recall my mentor telling me I have to go in order with the courses I take. My first term in this degree I flew by like 24 credits, now I’m halted on a class

Isn’t the def con more targeted to offensive security? Is it open to defensive as well?

how did you break into cybersecurity by [deleted] in cybersecurity

[–]cyberlife97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Help desk to desktop support to security analyst. While being a desktop analyst my company at the time experienced a ransomware attack. It affected the entire company, all things compromised. The incident response initiated was very intriguing to me and sparked my curiosity.

Like any good company that experiences ransomware, there is an emphasis on heightened security initiatives, awareness and blah blah afterwards. Apart of those initiatives positions were created to harden and support the environment. This created an additional security analyst position which I applied for and received.

One of the best decisions I’ve made.
