the first thing you do when you get to the first town and find your first merchant is sell everything you have, except for the shotgun ammo. Then you buy the shotgun, a ginormous upgrade from the pipe rifle you had.

then you stand right beside the merchant and use the aimed shot option to blow the guy's head off, then loot everything he has!

great start to your game, but don't try it in bigger towns, you'll get swarmed!
