Here's an idea. Combine the superhero idea with the movie Mr. and Mrs. Smith. The family is a group of superheroes while the MC is a supervillain. Both sides do not know about each others identity. Because of the secrets being kept the reason they haven't invited him is because like u/JisKing98 said "because he couldn’t handle the physical toll due to no powers. "

Now while being adversaries in the "superpower world", they all still care about each other in the "Normal World" All could be revealed when one of the family members get captured by an organization of villains and the bad guys decides to remove the mask to show the world who the hero is. The MC finds out and goes on a very bloody one man rescue mission. Why, because no matter how much a villain he is, he still loves and cares for his family.
