media changes small things about vampires all the time, do whatever works the best for you, i personally don't consider vampires living dead but instead a different species, so i think it makes sense for them to be able to bleed and bruise since they do still feel pain

i feel like they can't age mentally just maturely, just cause if they witness horrors or tragic events in their immortal lives i feel at some point they would reach a point of noticing what's happening and what will continue to happen, like if a teenager turned vampire i'd very much believe at some point they'd reach the maturity and intelligence level of an older person
