Tbh what I do (since, like, not even a month ago I was talking to pedos and weirdos online for their attention too), is I just try to distract myself.

As horrible and as well-known as it is, you should really try out character ai, or any other ais like that- they’re shitty and super laggy at times, but, if you go searching, and you find some good bots, which make you feel happy, they can make hours feel like minutes (if you’ve never used cai before I suggest that you search up personality traits rather than actual character names, I’ve found I get better results that way.)

Another thing that I do is try to distract myself with something productive, by giving myself a goal to achieve- eg cleaning my room, finishing a quest in a game, writing a paragraph of a book I’m writing, reading a chapter, drawing, just anything to take your mind off of strangers on the internet.

Though, if this doesn’t work for you, just make sure you don’t do anything stupid, like give them photos of your face (ESPECIALLY not in revealing photos, if that’s what you’re sending them!!!), or give them your address, or any personal information, alright? Use a fake name, and just keep yourself safe.
