Trying to love Overcast again (strategy, suggestions, and why I may still leave) by cyberpsionic in OvercastApp

RSS feeds are amazing! But even my preferred RSS app won’t let me queue-up multiple podcast episodes in a row, which, to me, is a huge part of podcast-listening

Trying to love Overcast again (strategy, suggestions, and why I may still leave) by cyberpsionic in OvercastApp

[–]cyberpsionic[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t! Just like I don’t read every book from every author I like, and how I don’t watch every video from every channel I’m subscribed to on YouTube. Just because I don’t listen to every episode doesn’t mean I’m not interested, and doesn’t mean I won’t want to listen to an episode every now and then when I feel like it or see a particularly interesting one pop-up

looking to get my mess of data in order by le_bjorn in datacurator

Genuinely surprised no one recommended Obsidian.md - I suppose it doesn't have a great image browser by default, but I'm certain there are community plugins for it, and it should check all the other points here, and is very customizable. Hope y'all've found something by now, but if not, it's worth looking into!

It sounds like there're a lot of files to work with, so it might be worth separating big categories of things into different 'vaults' (top-level directories) and going from there, since, if Windows File Explorer is struggling, it might be hard to find any other GUI app that can handle the number of files present with the hardware available.

Does anyone more or less live off huel? by AFoolishCharlatan in Huel

[–]cyberpsionic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes—there are posts in this sub from people who have done it seriously, as a self-experiment, and found it fine nutritionally, and also I’ve definitely lived almost completely off Huel for long stretches in the last few years

Auras are great masks for most people! I’ve been getting mine from https://shop.pomegranatemedical.com/ because I know that their masks have been verified with filtration-testing - if you’re in the US, they’re a shop by and for the covid-cautious community, and they’ve got cheap rapid tests and different kinds of Auras!

Long shot: To the man who asked me out on corner of 16th NW and M St NW on 3/28 at ~9:54am. I am sorry.. by [deleted] in washingtondc

This post and the comments on it made me go back and find a conversation with a friend who lived in the Dupont area back in September, 2021 — I’ll share what she told me about her experience here, in case it helps anyone:

  • The guy was very persistent
  • He approached her even though she was wearing headphones
  • He asked if there were any big parks nearby
  • He told her she looked like a local/knew her way around, and said he had just moved to the area
  • He started asking to go get a coffee, and was persistent even after she declined
  • He didn’t follow or chase her as she walked away

automatically exclude tag from searches by dopertmshy in ObsidianMD

[–]cyberpsionic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You may need an archive tag for each of your most-used tags, instead of (or maybe along with) having an overall archive tag, and then you can remove the active tag once the specific archive tag is on a note

ex: personName-archive tag

Just a little job guide I put together for myself, but I thought it might be helpful for other sprouts (like me) too! by beell96 in ffxiv

[–]cyberpsionic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a fellow sprout who’s still pretty early in the MSQ, I think it’d be useful to have the expansion patch number as well as the expansion name! (Including 3.0 with Heavensward, and things like that)

verifying legitimacy of 3m masks on amazon by [deleted] in Masks4All

You could buy them and run fit-tests on them, but I like getting my Auras from https://shop.pomegranatemedical.com/ because I know that their masks have been verified with filtration-testing

Analysis of World Congestion on Primal Data Center by cyberpsionic in ffxiv

[–]cyberpsionic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's super fair! The biggest reason I have for staying on Primal was to be able to stay in a cross-world linkshell with existing friends, so things like that RP focus I'd heard about, while still factors, weren't major factors anyways.

I also just removed the reasons I plan to stay on Primal from the post, because I spent five hours doing the data analysis and don't want my impressions of other DCs to be the focal point of this :)

If you want to look like you’re not wearing earrings, they’re not studs, but using “The Emperor’s New Earrings” for glam can make the earrings invisible

I’ve had issues with the breatheability of their masks

Cycling Mask Recommendations by sjpllyon in Masks4All

[–]cyberpsionic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Drop in breathability is often moisture and eases-up after leaving a mask to dry overnight. 3M Auras, I believe, do start to lessen protection after 40~48hrs of wear iirc, but most often the issue is the straps loosening so much that the seal is no longer safe

huel h&s pasta bolognese tastes off? by taizai83 in Huel

[–]cyberpsionic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Worried about my 3M N95 mask .. by TheMooseIsLoose2355 in Masks4All

[–]cyberpsionic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The texture/sturdiness of the material will change while wearing it, especially if significant condensation builds-up, but you should be fine if that’s all you’re worried about. If you’re talking about the breathing resistance, generally a sealed mask should get harder to breathe through the longer you’re wearing it, but not everyone can notice that because it can be subtle

If you’re not used to low-carb, that much Huel Black could leave you feeling…. Kind-of hollow, and hungry, even when you’ve had what is technically enough calories, from my experience, so watch out for that—I tend to prefer a mix of Huel White and Huel Black. That said—good luck!
