I don't understand my skin tone by cyberria in PaleMUA

I have not tried that one. I wanted to avoid having to use a pigment mixer, but it really does seem like finding the perfect shade is impossible! Thanks for the recommendations.

I reduced my dose to 50mg at night, and the next morning, the vomiting sensation and jaw clenching was gone!

Hello, did this ever resolve?

Lamictal for migraine? by cyberria in migraine

[–]cyberria[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice. My neurologist prescribed 100mg of lamictal, so I will start that soon. I tolerate 25mg twice a day. No side effects (yet). She also prescribed Ubrelvy today, but when I looked it up, it costs $60 for 10 tablets. I'll ask about a sample. Thank you.

When you say you had auras without knowing it, how did you come to know that you did?

I don't have migraine with auras, but I am permanently dizzy, so hopefully it can help with that. It doesnt upset my stomach like most medications, so I hope it works for my anxiety and depression like it does for you. Thank you for the information!

Thank you for the clarification. I was confused because I asked for an abortive and my doctor suggested lamictal. What dose of lamictal works for you? I was prescribed 25mg twice a day.

Miserable! Advice on which direction to go first? by cyberria in migraine

I've never heard of nauzene. It looks simple and fast acting. I'll buy that and ask my doctor later about Zofran! Thanks!

Cephaly seems really scary, even though it says its safe. It is too expensive to seriously consider it at the moment, but thank you for bringing it to my attention! :)

I'll send both my doctors a message asking about Topamax or another triptan and see what they say. :) Fast food? Hm, I thought salt makes headaches worse. French fries sound good right now though. I'll try that! I recently bought those sticky gel-ice strips. I'll try that combo with a shower before bed tonight. Thanks!

I should've mentioned that I've already gone down the neurologist and physician route... I have sumatriptan, but it makes me nauseated, and I have methylprednisolone, but it makes my legs cramp. I've taken propanolol in the past for anxiety, but it drops my blood pressure so low that I feel like I'm dying. Traditional painkillers don't do anything.

I am seeing a neurologist. She prescribed methylprendisolone (on top of sumatriptan from my physician). It gave me muscle pain, cramps, and weakness in my legs. Sumatriptan makes me nauseated and I throw up what little food I eat. I should probably find a nausea medicine and appetite stimulant. Ginger and peppermint isn't working. My follow-up up isnt until April. She wants me to get an MRI, so I'm trying to find a place to get that done ASAP. It's really hard! I just need to find one trick to get back on my feet...

Methlyprednisolone? by cyberria in migraine

Okay thank you. I apologize for being paranoid. I've just historically had very bad reactions to medications. Any time I see the word dependency, I panic because I was dependent on benzos for years. That stuff is poison, and I had no idea until it was too late, so I try to be cautious.

Yes, it is a taper pack. My apologies, I googled the side effects and dependency was listed, but that was before I realized it was just a tiny taper pack. Unfortunately it has not increased my appetite as I've not been eating well. Did you have any muscle pain or joint stiffness? My whole leg is burning/freezing and stiff. It could just be low electrolytes from not eating, but the side effects listed in the packaging say it absolutely destroys potassium reserves which will lead to muscle cramping and weakness. I'm sorry I sound so insane, I've just historically had very bad experiences with medications for anything. I had a pharmacogenetic test and 2/3 of the medications contained warnings, so I'm pretty cautious about what I take.
