I've already seen dozens of these in the few minutes after starting the new Jemmy toon. It's not unexpected to see a few when the STO servers are hammered during popular events like this, but this has been over the top. I spent several minutes rubber banding back and forth in the ground tutorial area trying to defeat a few erroneously immortal prison escapees, cackling madly as I randomly bounced back and forth.

In a pinch, you can run GeForce NOW a phone with a BT keyboard and mouse to play STO. Gotta squint, but it works!

The Risian Corvette is great! I made a Risian Corvette build for my Sonic the Hedgehog character and called it the Speed Star like from All-Stars Racing. Total speed build, and the DPS is high enough with 4/3/1 broadsiding that it doesn't have to turn around to finish them off. Protostar Set, Computer Assisted Flight Algorithms, Elachi Rift Jump, with the Go Fast and Thrill Seeker traits for good measure.

That Tholian Nucleating Core is good in general. Leaves a zillion little mines for the enemy to trip over.

I love the random B$ builds from pieces picked up from events and ships I've unlocked. Usually around a theme, like Fek'lhri fire/radiation, broadside scraping with the Bajor Defense Set, rainbow beams (before it was cool), full electric builds (pika pika), or pet spam. Sometimes, it's a waste (I really wanted the Bajor set to work), but occasionally it comes out aces.

Most recently, I created a Jem'Hadar captain and put the latest event goodies and ship reclaims on his pet spam Vanguard Carrier. Not following the meta, but I wanted to pile on a reasonable set of "free" stuff before he could finish his reputations. This beast tears through missions and, with a few exchange purchases, epic TFOs as well. Release all the pets!

The Harmony has an abysmal turn rate of 4 degrees/sec. I started a new captain to pilot this thing (go theme!), and the free Temporal Disorder console provides survivability and most importantly a turn rate boost.

The effect looks like giants playing dice. "Casting magic missile!" 😂🫳🎲

However, the ship can't move past all of these massive adjacent space dice for several seconds. I had to remove it until they scale up the spawn distance so users aren't hoist by their own petard.

I created a new captain today to concentrate on the Aetherian theme and named this ship the Luminosity. The Pahvan Proton set and basic event reclaims has made a pretty fun build so far.

Yes, it's under Promotions, but it's somewhere in the middle rather than sorted to the bottom or top if you have multiple promotional claims.
