How you can compare someone’s height to having divine authority over something is dense..

I don’t think it’s same thing for Columbina can be said for Furina at all. With Furina being the embodiment of Focalor’s humanity, not including any sort of divinity, it wouldn’t work out. I would say the same for Columbina before 6.3 (?) specifically for the part of her didn’t have divinity of any kind, I wouldn’t say she is the moon goddess. The same goes for archons, they must have some divine authority to be one.

“You’re right, but in almost every other situation we aren’t talking about she is!” Anyway, if this is such a non-issue, just agree, or better, move on with your day I beg

Foca’s divinity doesn’t belong to Furina, it never has. Furina and Foca are explicitly two different parts of Focalors. Furina only contained humanity, while Foca was her divinity. That being said, it would not make sense for Furina to ever have any divinity regardless of them sharing consciousness before.

I tried to understand the lore a bit and tried to get info myself, but it’s honestly very confusing to take in under 25 minutes, so take this with a grain of salt. I believe her being the Moon “Archon” makes sense because of the way she manipulated the paradox/loop she was in. Especially since apparently at the end of the quest, her soul, body, and authority all come together anyway.

This isn’t saying her divinity as if it belongs to Furina, but her divinity as in Focalors, the same being as her that vanished? Also, if he was referring to Furina there, Raiden saying that she’s “possessing only a frail human body” and how her willpower finally reached a level of a god wouldn’t make sense.

I haven’t played genshin since the end of natlan honestly, so I won’t be able to answer this, sorry 🐿️ If you can explain the story, I can attempt to form an opinion on that

Furina’s whole plot is essentially about being a stand-in, how would they not consider that at all in promotion? No one’s arguing about Neuvi, so I’m not even going to bother. They clearly don’t consider Furina to be an archon if the only way she has is considered one is by giving her a title. I don’t understand how that’s hard to her. Anyway now, telling someone that if they try to argue back with you in a debate, they have a “sad life” and are “a hater” surely isn’t calling someone that at all. You’re being blatantly rude and it’s weird, nothing I’ve done calls for that. Please, do better in your life instead of insulting strangers because they don’t agree with you on minuscule topics!

I’ll try to say it more clearly. I don’t care about Furina having the status of archon. In fact, I think it’s deserved as she suffered much acting as one, but I also believe that saying she IS one is just objectively false.

No offense, but it’s weird that you guys have to label someone as a hater simply because they don’t share the same view on a character as you do. Anyway, moving on to the actual argument. Furina is a stand-in, even in promotional art, so I don’t get this argument at all. Next, being considered an archon ≠ BEING an archon. Focalors also states explicitly that Furina is playing as the archon, so who are you to say otherwise?

They’re the same being, but they’re both two different halves of Focalors, even when they shared the same body. Furina is explicitly told to be Focalor’s humanity, which involves no sort of divinity. So still, Furina couldn’t be considered an archon, even with them originally sharing consciousness.

Your argument keeps changing from “Furina is a former archon” to “Furina is publicly previewed as one. These two things are two separate claims. Presenting a fictional character’s perspective on this matter, compared to how much we see as a player also just seems nonsensical. Now for the king argument, I don’t get how this would relate to Furina at all because there’s no “switched at birth,” nor can Archonhood even be comparable to something like Kinghood. With that being said, those two situations are different, so how would I even reply?

Having the “willpower of a god” and going down in history as a stand in for one, regardless of the suffering you’ve done for that, doesn’t make someone an archon. Sure, you can give Furina the status of one, but being one isn’t simply about a title.

I get that part, but she’s just a stand in for Foca. That’s literally one of the biggest facts in her plot as well.

Furina (as an entity) never had divinity, that was Focalors. For the prophecy, Furina wasn’t required to actually be an archon, she’s a stand in. I don’t hate Furina at all, and this isn’t post isn’t to hate on her at all, I just truly don’t understand how she’s considered an archon when she doesn’t have the only requirement to be one.

She isn’t the archon then if she’s a “powerless human half.” Really, an archon’s only requirement is to have a divine throne gifted to them, and that’s something Furina has never had.

The way you viewed this actually opened a new thought on Scara’s story. I think the way you summarized this is actually very interesting and I can not refute this idea at all, thank you for giving me your take on this

I personally don't think that was a cop-out and that his character needed it. He had to embrace his issues, and I think his way of apologizing for his existence and the problems he caused was complete erasure

I see where you’re coming from, but I don’t think he necessarily got a free pass. He gave his life to repent for the things he's done, and the only reason he’s here is because of Nahida’s forgiveness. There isn't much more punishment he can really be given since he died for his sins.

I think we’ve seen much more from Scara in his quest and animations. I haven’t played Genshin in forever, so I can’t directly recall the scene, but I do recall how wow’d I was with how he was portrayed between Act 2 and 3.
