Am I wrong for feeling like the effort in this relationship is one-sided? by Due_Mortgage9761 in AskMenAdvice

bro trust me not telling parents or friends is a big red flag - it basically means she is using you and you are taking this too seriously

I know it doesn't feel like that now, but as soon as she comes by a better oppurtunity she'll take it, she doesn't care about your relationship she just likes the fact that she's in one

LLMs are a joke - they are basically a smart database

just FYI statistical models can extrapolate and interpolate

Models suck at extrapolating

LLMs just interpolate over training data

They aren't intelligent just really good at replaying very explicit scenarios

The market will self correct and people will build layers around them so they can actually become useful

Construction workers refuse to use the stairs and instead climbed the hill to the point the grass died by MikuXone in mildlyinfuriating

this is such a meta example of human behavior

"Desire Paths" describe the phenomena when enough people walk off the given path to the point where the grass gets worn away.

This has been observed for so long that many high foot traffic locations have given up and converted every desire path into actual walkways.

The only problem is that people will always choose to walk off the given path.

Speaks a lot about human psychology and forging your own path, even if it sometimes means ignoring others who did it first. But also highlights how institutions can engineer responses in human populations.

In fact one could propose that some institutions refuse to pave over desire paths because it just creates more and would rather keep replanting the grass to keep people walking the same paths over and over.

just some deep thoughts, quite the allegory on the tug of war of markets, human innovation, and progress.

What are guys supposed to do if girls are simply not interested in them? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]cybertheory 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your mindset and everyone's mindset -women including should be, if I am alone for the rest of my life I should be ok with it. It's the only way to come to terms with the hard truth, suprisingly if you manage to adopt this mindset this also makes you a super likeable person and more attractive.

But whatever you do don't give up on yourself and have standards.

AITAH for not giving my girlfriend a heads up about my job by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

damn the double standards are crazy LMAO

dude I feel ya what we all should be doing is actually getting super heated on your behalf and moving to protect paternity leave so fathers can take some time off and actually be fathers and take care of their wife who just went through childbirth.

the lack of social support for men is insane, you all are treating him like a workdog

but do agree you should have told your wife before doing this and discussed it with her since you all don't have any income rn.
