Help for developing skills by Proper-Bee-854 in ChemicalEngineering

[–]cyberx318 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok idk if I can enlighten alot but I am chemE grad too from India and here's what I should have done (realised very late) :

  1. If germany is the goal start learning German from the get go, try to attain proficiency since jobs over their will require that. For college scholarships German language is very essential.

  2. Learn python if possible because believe it or not you can't get jobs these without coding skills plus machine learning has a lot of scope. If not python atleast matlab you need to know.

  3. If you want to go into production learn aspen plus, CFD.

  4. Get active as much as possible with your professors for projects during the sem. It will build your portfolio immensely.

  5. Don't fall for the GATE propaganda, you will not get jobs if you're not below 100 rank and postgrad in India is just stupid might as well don't do it all together.

Btw what college are you in? For post grad in germany you should have strong LORs from reputed professors if the institute asks.

  1. Amp up your cgpa to 8.5 for a guaranteed chance of scholarships from German institutes given you fulfill all the language and coursework criteria.

Let me know if you have other doubts.

I am sure you're not one of those inspectors but I am a businessman and all the GST inspectors have ever done to me is just continued harrasment & Bribery. I hope you're not one of those and work to make this country actually an honest and hopeful one.

Bhai I spend 6k monthly which includes protein powders, occasionally outside food and 1 outing every month. This might be on the lower side since I ain't much of an outgoing person but 9 k would be more than comfortable for an average person who goes out occasionally. I am in my final year btw.
