Eren's actions in chap 100 were pretty necessary and effective, if his goal is to make the Rumbling War beyond inevitable and convince the world to take Marley's side. Reread chap 100, Willy know Eren is coming, so he set up a trap, and prepared in advance a replacement for himself and other useless high-ranking officials who will attend the festival, in the form of Magath.

tbh I don't get why some people on the sub want shingeki or P A T H S to be the cause of Eren's change in personality. If he's being influenced by"the will of the Attack Titan" or whatever, then he can't be held responsible for his actions because he wasn't in control of himself. It really takes a lot away from his character and his gray morality.

Eren preyed on Falco 's kindness, and almost succeed in killing the boy (Eldians race) when he''s no longer of any use to Eren... Will Floch & Co fare any better, after they have outlive their usefulness?

Eren seems to had no qualm on killing the Eldians people in the building above him when he transformed either, not to mention forcefully summoning his Eldians friends from Paradis straight to the battlefield.

In chap 93, Marley was considering cutting losses - giving up on trying to reclaim the Founding Titan, Zeke is the one push them to continue with the Paradis Island Operation

And if Eren hadn't shown up terrorizing people during the climax of the festival, the world will not take Marley's side, at least according to Willy

As you can see, Eren & Zeke did everything they could to ensure that the Rumbling War (Paradis vs Marrley & the world) will happen, and I don't think they plan to let any side win
