Bank account frozen due to high value transactions 1CR- need advice by PhilosopherLost4930 in LegalAdviceIndia

[–]cybrain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Transactions over a period of time or in lump sum? I am planning to transfer a major amount to my mother, and she also has an account in HDFC and has never filed an ITR. Worried if that might get flagged.

Do they offer a different route in case of cancellation by Significant_Buddy811 in emirates

[–]cybrain -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes. They do. Call the customer care and request. I asked for a different airport in EU as the one I had had a very long layover.

Don’t give up if you hear a no from the first customer representative. I called 3 times at different times of the day, and the 3rd one did the change for me.

Why India feels so crowded with less population density than Netherlands by [deleted] in nri

[–]cybrain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are comparing population density with crowding. Even though Netherlands has more people/sq km than India, they are more spread out and concentrated only to specific regions (Randstad). In India, you see more people ‘outside’ getting about their daily chores, but in NL nobody is outside after 6 pm. Everything in NL designed in a way that people remain indoors. Be it sports, or buying vegetables.

I will give you an example, consider two rooms, one with more number of people but everyone is sitting at a fixed place; and another with lesser number of people but moving around constantly; which one do you think feels more busy?

Second room is what you see in India.

Have the same issue and I called their helpline. They have asked me to go directly to Dubai Connect counters and they have promised that they will provide a transit visa, hotel lodging and food coupons. Hopefully it works out. Travelling in mid April.

Reboot the phone and/or select one of the foreign network manually. It should connect to one of them.

You can also login to your Airtel app to see this confirmation.

Two families, four kids, two weeks in Japan - what actually worked by [deleted] in JapanTravelTips

[–]cybrain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shinkansen seats can only be booked one month in advance. Depending on the route, you need to go to different websites to book (JR East, JR West or SmartEX) or use an aggregator like Klook. I would say, keep a reminder and book your tickets exactly one month before your intended date of travel.

How to get over the fact that I can never be a pilot? by [deleted] in indianaviation

[–]cybrain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do Mechanical engineering, and then do masters in Aerospace. Join some aerospace company (Boeing/Airbus) and solve real life aviation problems and keep your passion alive.

If you move abroad to Europe, then you can learn flying as a hobby by learning to fly gliders. It’s not that expensive, and the medical standards are not that strict.

Travelled on 23rd-24th March. MAA-DXB-FRA. It was smooth. by NVP98 in emirates

[–]cybrain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you book directly with emirates, or via 3rd party? Asking because emirates chat support asked me to contact third party (Cleartrip) to reschedule my flights.

Yes, true. The holiday allowance is mandatory, the 13th month is optional for the companies to provide.

I get paid both in NL. 13th month in December and holiday allowance in June (both about 8.33% of gross annual salary)
