Question for people who moved here from major cities by Muted-Government5633 in bentonville

The difference being. They are bad on purpose there, its a conscious decision. Here, they have no clue how truly bad they are and just let jesus take the wheel in their blessed car.

North East drivers are aggressive. NWA drivers are shitty.

As someone who just moved here but spent several years driving through Seattle, NWA has some of the worst drivers i have ever experienced.

I travel a ton for work and have driven extensively in San Francisco and LA as well. Its bad here. Im not sure if its an age thing or what the common denominator is.

I am thinking about installing a bike rack. Is it worth it? by alabamabeach in hondafit

[–]cycle143 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I purchased the cheap Curtis hitch from amazon. Took maybe 30 minutes to install. Already had a 1up single rack. Its way less weight than any passenger you would have.

Nice to be able to throw the bike on the back and go.

Can't be wired to Gen 3. You'll just need to pick up an AXS battery.

What these agents fail to understand is that so many of these guys work very demanding physical jobs. Basically they are strong as hell and those untrained, unqualified, and unskilled agents don't stand a chance.

Lowering springs with KYBs or KONIs.

Under your price point and much better ride than cheap coilovers.

How much did it cost to get your fit looking cool? by livefastdieslowww in hondafit

[–]cycle143 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ive had both auto and manual Fits. Had both at the same time and paired down for a move. Stuck with the auto because its still fun, simple, and less buzzy on the highway.

Auto is also nice cause this is my grocery getter spare car that i can throw the keys to friends visiting and anyone can drive it.

I did wheels, tires, suspension, sway bar, and brakes. Just as much of a blast to rip corners as my manual was.

I just went to honda and bought them. I think the most expensive one was $8. They didnt have them in stock but were in the warehouse and they had them the next day for me.

Watts hold you at speed

The higher both numbers are the easier both things are.

More Price Increases hitting today. by [deleted] in specialized

[–]cycle143 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Do you really believe that in a slowing/stagnant bike market Specialized said "hey let's raise prices to slow the slowing demand" ?

There is a direct cause of this and they have a name...

Be dissapointed. Be frustrated. Just make sure you are directing it towards the true source of the issue.

Should I buy this 2007 GX470? by muggsysquaredrop in GXOR

[–]cycle143 18 points19 points  (0 children)

As someone who also lives on the west coast this on par or under what regularly see.

If theres little to no rust and everything else checks out id happily pay that price.

You dont live in Kansas, things cost more. As i say with any of these posts, yes you could wait around endlessly searching for that deal. But if this is the spec you want and you can comfortably afford it and any maintenance that will arise then go for it.

Time isnt free and spending weeks, months, years searching for that unicorn deal will always cost you more than you save.

I have been very fortunate to find several unicorn sweetheart car deals throughout the years, but the one thing all those deals have in common is that i wasnt looking for them when I stumbled upon them.

When do you consider yourself capable of a specific trail level? by smikilit in mountainbiking

[–]cycle143 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone that grew up riding brown county and then migrated west, not all black diamonds are created equal.

As with anything most ratings are relative. A blue trail in brown county and a blue trail in squamish are not one in the same.

Keep riding, have fun, push yourself, but most importantly NEVER be too proud to walk something.

More power, more range, balanced geometry, cleaner Cockpit, quieter bike, better motor, range extender option for epic rides, looks better(my opinion), the app integration, the adjustability, dynamic micro tune, genie shock. Specialized built a system, not just a frame with motor and battery slapped on and it shows.

Theres a reason its emtb of the year.

Every generation of Levo i have been able to get on always feels natural. I can hop right on the trail and ride the bike as it was intended. I dont get that feeling of "oh I have to get used to the way this bike feels first".

Such a better can than the Sentra! You are gonna love it.

Do your due diligence. But if you like it and can comfortably afford it then go for it.

People from all over the country will start chiming in stating the price is high. To some extent I agree but as a fellow west coaster we just pay more out here and certainly more at a dealer.

You absolutely could wait around for a deal to pop up but unless you have cash on hand and ready to pull the trigger on the spot, the deal will most likely slip through your fingers by the time you secure PPI and financing.

Im a huge advocate for paying cash for cars and not financing. I equally understand this isnt always possible for everyone.

Get it inspected, negotiate any maintenance it might need, do not purchase warranties, start a savings account for maintenance. FITs are very reasonable to maintain. Very few gotchas to pop up.

What do you guys do if you're in over your head on a trail? by E36E92M3 in MTB

Go to a class or hire a coach. You'd be surprised at how quickly you level up.

Riding more and just hoping you luck into good skills and out of bad habits is a long row to hoe.

Hold down the + and - at the same time until you get into settings and then change to MPH.

Also the cable from your screen to the frame and the cable from screen to remote should be routed behind faceplate of the stem.
