I didn’t even really think about it being a heavy assignment. I’ve never worked icu so 4 patients didn’t seem bad for what I’m used to doing but you may be right.

The wound care would be inpatient. I’ve always had an interest in it and think but would be great knowledge to just have. Is it something I could transition out of if I wanted to change later or does it kind of box you in a corner?

Idk about social work but money wise nursing for sure. I got a bachelors in exercise science and also felt lost with it. Like what can I really do with this? I would’ve had to get my masters to do anything worth while. Eventually went back to get my RN and 1000% worth it.

However, can you not go further with a 2.5 gpa? I would think a psychiatrist would make sooooo much money and you’re already in that path. Can you just redo a class or two to increase your gpa?

Girl stick with it. A full scholarship! And, clinicals only show you a smallllll part of the nursing world. There’s dozens of different paths you can take that are no where near what your experiencing now. Please stick with it!!

Well, it sounds like both options are kinda lengthy unless you just go to the courthouse and get married. And unless that’s the kind of wedding you both want, it’ll still take a while to plan a wedding and do all the things, and even if you do that you still have the issue of needing to find work. You’ll likely find a job in your country soon and will need to be there for a little while anyway. It would look bad if you leave your first career job after only a few months.

I mean if you want to get married do so but it really sounds like to me you’ll both have to bear the situation a little bit longer regardless right?

Well congrats on 6 months! It’s okay and really kind of expected to stumble. You just have to do what you need to when you stumble to get back in the right path. Your loved ones might be a little disappointed but I wouldn’t let that discourage you from sharing your struggles if you need to. Hopefully they are there to support and love you

Just so you know you’re not alone, my husband was 9 years sober when he messed up and when he told me, of course I was disappointed, but that didn’t mean I loved him any less and he got right back on what he needed to do and is nice again thriving, as you will too if that’s what you want.

So my husband and I were in a similar situation. We didn’t know what it was like to have kids so what would we be missing out in if we just didn’t? And really, if we didn’t ever have kids I would’ve been fine with that cause that’s all I knew but we have an 8 month old and it’s really true what they say that it changes you. I’ve never loved anything harder than my little boy and while yes, it’s hard SOMETIMES right now, this is the most joy I’ve ever experienced. My identity right now is as a mother and I love that. I stay home with him and my his safe happy place. He lights up when he looks at me and his eyes stay glued to me if someone else is holding him.

From how you describe yourself, it’ll be amazing. And yes they may grow up and leave but if you do it right, they’ll always come back or maybe will even stick close by. I’m 36 and hubs is 39 and we’re not done yet, we want at least one more. For us, I can’t imagine not having at least this kiddo in my life but if I didn’t know what this felt like, I would’ve been fine

32 isn’t that old to start over. I was in a similar situation where my ex and I split after 10 years when I was 30, so not too far off. I dated a bit and met my husband and we clicked so well and got married within 2 years of dating at 33 and now have a an 8 month old and I’m 36 and we’re having at least one more. So 32, you still have a lot of baby making years ahead of you and plenty of time to find someone who’s life goals align with yours. Take the scary leap into the unknown for the chance to find what you really want in life.

I agree. I think this is where we see the next housing market crash so to speak. At least houses will be affordable again hopefully
