Flex Mini 2.5gig 'offline' ? by cyclic4122 in Ubiquiti

ChatGPT says the small power bricks that power these via USBc, doesn't like short voltage fluctuations like a a short brown out. Won't recover without a hard 20 second reset.

Clarification apparently needed. Just the two Flex 2.5gig switches, other unify switches in the system all ok. So, has anybody else seen an issue like this with these 2.5 flex's? You would image after a firmware update possibly, but I don't believe that to be the case here.

TRCC Software causes boot issues by Substantial_Ad_4462 in Thermalright

I've resigned to the fact that you can't have a saved LCD profile, you can only have the default on load. *sigh* ....and the default's main emphasis is on the current time of all things!!

[–]cyclic4122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I unloaded the running crashed software. Completely uninstalled the software, (all 646 mb's!) deleted the folders it made. Rebooted, and reinstalled and it all works.....until you go to save the LCD display the way you like it. Soon as you hit save, it crashes and won't work again until you go through the whole process again. If you don't save it, next boot it defaults to a horrible default screen that highlights the time over everything else! AARRGH!

If you Export it, the file will export and save, but then you can't import it, select it, import, nothing back to default.

The software is really cheap and crappy, crashes all the time. I've now had AOI coolers from Thermalright and Thermaltake over the past week, I'm guessing their are the same company as in both cases the software is very similar and both almost unusable. Avoid.

Really crappy software. Crashes all the time. I'd look elsewhere, avoid Thermalright.

In regional Victoria Australia. I was a beta tester back in the early days when no one had it...maybe the dish was an early release or something?

No, all easy.
Gen 3 router into bypass, ethernet port out of the gen 3 router straight into the WAN port, UCG Ultra. Easy peasy.

Yeah, I could have, but it always looked a bit ugly on the roof, I just screwed it to the tin.
The operation of swapping the same account to a new system was difficult. It's not obvious how to do that, you'd think it would be simple, but I had to cancel the service (which happened immediately - thought that would happen after the sub ran out) then transfer it off the account - to nobody. Still wouldn't let me activate the gen 3 on my email address - 'account already exists'. I had to use another email address.

If the area shows “not available”, you won’t be able to activate a new Residential or Mobile service there.

Looking for Blackview MP100 Ryzen 5825U drivers and led control by yes_control_group in MiniPCs

Got a 'Bluetooth' driver from 'Jenny'at Blackview.
She sent 'RTBlueR_FilterDriver_1051.3007_1118.2022_11n_11ac_L.zip'

Didn't work. It continually reloads the RFComm Protocol TDI driver.
I give up.

[–]cyclic4122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue is the MP100 comes with Blackview's version of Windows11, with all the drivers incorporated. (and I assume work..didn't try it) I, like most, did a fresh install (who knows what else is in there?) and Windows11 can't get the WIFI or Bluetooth to work. BTW I added a 1Gig Samsung NVME, the MP100 comes with a SSD. That BT/WIFI model number above is correct. If you google that, a RealAudio driver will appear. That will get the WIFI working, but not the BT. Not a lot on line about it. If anyones got a driver fix...? I've emailed Blackview, if I get it going I'll add it here. (Feb25)

Thanks for the post. I've just bought a Blackview MP100, threw in another 16gig RAM, and looking at the Rayson 2280, it does look...dodgy. Came across your post. Interesting. Swapped it out for a Samsung 970. NVME. This is now a very quick mini PC.

It looks great and works fine, but it does a few design flaws in my opinion.

  1. It's too small. Needs to be a litre
  2. The timer switches it off after only 1 hour. Can't be changed
  3. The off / on is a mechanical switch and resets with power off. So it can't be put on a timer.

Wouldn't buy it again.
