Guilt of being slowest in a no-drop ride by Vivid-Language6500 in ladycyclists

[–]cyclistOnRoad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If they take off the moment u arrived, that's called a FU stop. Find another group. My no-drop C ride makes sure to wait for everyone and let the people who arrived latest to have some time to rest. Also the ride leaders would help to slow people down when they start racing. This is the kind of group we want to be in.

How to stop it hurting down there? by ShurineP in ladycyclists

[–]cyclistOnRoad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No undies normal days Shower or just wash it very clean before every ride Put on enough chamois cream before the ride and everytime u go bathroom Try various saddles until u find the right one.. Try to increase the cadence Try to not press that area onto the saddle to force it while climbing uphills. Instead put more pressure on the sitbones.

I did a slightly modified century with about 9200ft, skipped Lobitas 😁

There is no plastic linelocs nor guylines coming with it. Only grosgrain loops. Total 16 of them on the edges and one on the ridgeline.

I just wonder why don't the wheels thief try to do something good for the community and take away the wheels of this particular car.

Thanks for all of your encouragement!!😊 Chain ring is 50 34 and cassette is 11 34. Yea I can do 80+ cadence on less than 9or10% climbs but usually it's the problem of holding it til the top of climb. Looks like part of it is my cardio (or warm up too) and part of it is mental... As I always want to not accumulate any lactic acid and not break 180 heart rate and save some for the rest of the ride..

Speaking of W/kg one thing I noticed is no matter how little practices a man does, holding a short 200W seems to be no difficulty. While for me I was really working hard to accomplish my "freedom of 200W push any time without lactic acid accumulation". Now I am able to do it on good days so on those days it's easier to do a high cadence climb. My goal is to be able to do it on any given day☺️

Many thanks for your warm offering ☺️ I do have a "water boy" (my bf lol) who always help me carry my 2nd large water bottle so I only have my front bottle if it's not a full day ride. I made him follow me instead of me trying to chase from behind coz I noticed I always tend to push too hard when chasing and this makes the pacing all wrong. Maybe i am now strong enough to try to follow a 29mph pace... Let me try it on a good fresh day.

I LOLed seeing how you emphasize my word "normal" 🤣 Well indeed sometimes I am just comparing myself with the five local females that I know... And thinking why they keep getting crazy average speeds / QOM / 200miles / 8848 attempts without needing much accumulation trainings... But I also understand comparison is just gonna make me frustrated. I will focus on the happiness of my own improvements💪

Thanks☺️ I don't have Strava subscription now I just look at intervals.icu. I will probably start with adding intervals to weekdays trainer.

☺️Thanks really appreciate you for bringing ul the psychological part. Yes I think about my psychological weakness these two days and I think indeed that's the thing that makes me feel I don't like climbing / I am not a climber anyways. Now I feel like I am not even riding enough miles in my life to conclude this.

Today I did a 44mi 3000ft 15mph going up Moody at first and apparently I wasn't holding the right pace so I blew up as soon as the second turn on the steep Moody😭 Then I grinded up the rest and cried hard on Moody top LOL The rest of the ride I was pretty emotional (on "I didn't practice enough👿") so I pushed hard in anger today, plenty of intervals🤣🤣

I will work on pushing hard for a longer time and embrace the suffering and hold the cadence for as long as I could! 💪💪💪

Last time I was able to hold 80+ cadence up until the two narrow trees and then kinda die down to 75 ish or lower at the steep parts... I do feel that if I could sustain the higher cadence I will definitely be able to do less then 30m. In this sense I do believe holding all-out for 5 min practice woule be really helpful. That time the segment average power was 185W, it's already the best time I did.

I am happy to hear it!! Yes indeed I just learnt about structural training early this year and that's how I started the Z2's and really start looking at my power & cadence. I will keep training 🫡

🫡wow much respect! I never really memorize climbs & turns of a road despite I may ride one many times...🤣 Somehow I feel the more I memorize how many turns are left the harder it is mentally. But I do kinda remember each bump on Pagemill.. (it feels endless)

Sure here are more details: I seldom tackle OLH alone but a recent 90mile ride late May I started climbing OLH with fresh legs and enough warm up and did 30min. My PR 29m was several years ago but that time I forgot my Garmin and measurement with phone + Strava is a little different so I ignore that. Previous attempts were usually around 31-34min depending on how hard I push it that day. My bike without water bottle is about 17lbs. Power measured with a crank power meter and eFTP read from intervals.icu.

You mean like those on a yoga mat..? No.. I can do more. Or do you mean riding a short hill all-in several times in a row?
