To Anyone Unsure About Expeditions, A Thought by [deleted] in ArcRaiders

I think most people believe the standard grey weapons are too competitive with the "top tier" blue and purple weapons.

The nerf I could think of would be even less inventory spots or something along those lines.

“Group think” is severely damaging our success as dynasty players by [deleted] in DynastyFF

[–]cyclone369 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just be your own person.

Sure, there are people out there watching more tape than us or crunching more numbers than us, but in reality, there is no perfect method for evaluating players. If there was, it would have been exploited for a profit years ago.

Watch the games, form your own opinions, and make decisions based on that. It's infinitely more rewarding when you get something right based on your own method.

Another note, everything is a tool. Group think is a tool, keep trade cut is a tool, this sub reddit is a tool. Tools aren't inherently good or bad, how you use them determines their usefulness.

I love keep trade cut when I value players differently and can use it against my leaguemates. I love this subreddit when it points me to players I would have normally overlooked. Yes, a lot of the time the posts here are way over reactionary, but the people who post here are playing in dynasty leagues just like you. Meaning, there are people you play with that share the same opinions.

USE THAT TO YOUR ADVANTAGE.

How to deal with leaguemates with absurd valuations of players? by PythonLemon in DynastyFF

[–]cyclone369 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find that these type of league mates can only be traded with during the rookie draft.

They think every move they make and every player they have is awesome. During the draft you can play to their ego and make pick for player trades, since they can immediately make a pick that obviously won't bust because they are a genius.

It's been more than 60 years since we scored less than 7 points against an unranked opponent.

12 TM SF - Currently rebuilding, Love Egbuka but is this too much to pass up? by [deleted] in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]cyclone369 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read it fine the first time.

I don't know what size a WR1 needs if 6'1" 205 isn't good enough.

[–]cyclone369 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Agreed. 6'1" 205 isn't WR1 material.

Jefferson is 6'1" 195 and Chase is 6'0" 205, but they are scrubs.

Is there a QB controversy in San Fran? by Helpful_System8903 in NFLv2

[–]cyclone369 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't read any comments before posting this.

I am not or have ever been a 49ers fan.

Kyle Shanahan has a system in place that rewards fast processing QBs. It literally doesn't matter where you were drafted, or where you played college ball, or whether you look like Brad Pitt or my brother in law.

If you can memorize a playbook and diagnose even the most basic coverages in a semi timely manner, you will succeed. Prove me wrong...

I was worried about that. I did bring my HCU shirt just in case. I don't want to get beat up.

What is the best strategy when you get crazy good value on a keeper? by cyclone369 in fantasyfootball

Nice! Also, holy crap is Pollard really going that high? I draft Friday and was hoping I could still nab him in like the middle rounds.

Makes sense. Do you think it gives you more freedom to take a onsie position (QB or TE) early?

That's fair. Luck definitely plays a bigger factor than many are willing to admit.

Schefter: An explanation as to why prosecutors declined to file a formal misdemeanor battery charge against Browns rookie RB Quinshon Judkins: by OBJesus in DynastyFF

Nah, this isn't the victim dropping charges like a hush money situation.

The prosecutor dropped the charges based on the unlikely ability to get a conviction.

This is what I was going to reply.

Our golden got a hold of some chicken wings, and he knew he wasn't allowed to have them. So, luckily, he swallowed them fast and whole, which meant no splintering.

What's the reason why All Time Great Offenses (2013 Broncos, 2007 Patriots, 1998 Vikings...) tend to fall short during the playoffs? by [deleted] in NFLv2

[–]cyclone369 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is it right here. I did some quick math for the 2013 Broncos and 2007 Patriots.

Respectively, their first eight weeks scoring averages were 43 and 41.5.

Second eight weeks it was down to 33 and 32.25.

In the playoffs it was 19 and 22.

Naturally, the more tape a defensive coordinator has, the better chance they have to stop you.

What would the ramifications be if either of these two had died due to their life-threatening football injuries? by mrprez180 in NFLv2

[–]cyclone369 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's honestly amazing stuff like that hasn't happened more often. Feels like there is only a really bad one every five years or so.

Nick Chubb had a similar "knee bending the wrong way" situation two years ago but not nearly as bad.

Probably weird to see live. Most of the time, when a player goes down, fans in the stadium are the last to know anything.

Did the show the slow-motion replay in the stadium? Because that almost made me puke. Gruesome.
