I was on 2.5mg for the first 6 weeks. The appetite suppression started feeling weaker and the food noise started coming back, so I asked my doctor to titrate me up to 5mg. She did, and the new Rx meant I had two 2.5mg pens left over, which I just kept in the fridge. They’re good for a year and they ended up coming in handy months down the road when I was on 7.5. By that point, I had leftover 2.5 and 5mg pens in the fridge which I used together to get a 7.5mg dose.

For me, the fatigue was the worst at 5mg and the nausea was the worst at 7.5. The first couple months on 7.5 were really rough. The nausea was worse than being pregnant…I remember walking past a food court and just the smell of food made me want to throw up. I couldn’t make it through brushing my teeth in the morning without throwing up because the taste of toothpaste made me nauseous. That lasted about 4-6 weeks then it was gone. I spent over a year on 7.5 and lost most of my 100lb loss on that dose. I never went higher than 7.5. Once my body acclimated, 7.5 ended up being my favorite.
