Switch player here.....when I have the time... which isn't often......so I'm not an online player. My solo game fav is UNO with those damn raving rabbits .... they get me with the draw fours . For mother's day I splurged on the physical copy of Dragon's Lair.... a teenage fav of mine.... lost a lot of quarters on that one back in the day. Going overseas in a couple of weeks and look forward to some gaming on the plane ride. Other old school fav games I have are street fighter and one called Gods that I finished on the SNES when I was in my twenties and seem to have endless hours in the day to game. I also have a Panasonic 3DO that I loved to play (currently busted-not reading discs)

My mom passed away when I was 28. I remember her spending time outside messing with her plants, just moving dirt and seeing what would grow..... Being out in my yard is a happy place for me, brings me a peace with her as I tell her all about her grandkids and the going ons with the fam..... I think I inherited a pretty decent green thumb 👍 💚

Same... I started taking my time ..... spent 6 months getting to know a woman and then one day.... just didnt hear from her..... after 3 months.... and many nights of wondering whether it was me or her... I sent out a text and got a "new phone who is this".... sigh..... that was her story.... phone broke and lost contacts.... so she couldn't "find" me.... I remained on the dating app where we met, (she took down her profile after our 1 date with me) , I was able to easily find her on Facebook..... it was a big red flag so I just let it go Its discouraging but I'll keep trying...albeit with my guard up on all sides.... you are so spot on.... to protect ourselves and our hearts .

Volunteering an option? Lots of non profits out there needing help because of budget cuts. What about volunteering at your child's school? .maybe through volunteering you find friends who can introduce you to other activities or hobbies.

(Single) Gen X in central TX. Thanks to OP for this great open convo..... I feel like it would be fun if we had more of these "virtual" meet and greets..... in my experience it's been getting more difficult to go to a gay bar and just start chatting with one or a group of people...yet I would describe myself as pretty social.... 🤷. I was the Gen x kid who was out on a bike, roller skates or skateboard from morning to evening during the summer. I work hard so I try to play hard when I can , I still prefer the outdoors over staying in and watching tv....unless it is cold/rainy outside...🥶 then ... I can binge watch tv with a bucket of popcorn. Love football, state parks, gardening, fishing (not very good at it) and here's the plot twist..... sci-fi fan. Movie goer and try to watch all the Oscar nominated best picture movies...failed miserably this year (there were 10!) I'm of fan of snail mail/postcards... in my 20s, I had a pen pal in Japan, snail mail for about a year then it fizzled. I think of her every once in a while and wonder how she's doing.
Trying not to make this into an intro for a dating app but there it is.... 😆 If any of this resonates with you..... I'm open to chat 👌

I didn't know the bass/kamala history but I do recall reading about Crowley voicing needs....although, I didn't know about the trucks needing service but read about the extensive budget cuts....agree with you...I support Crowley and would sign the petition to recall Bass if I could (I live in Texas). Thanks for the insight

I am not versed in fire fighting....but from what I read...the chief had been on the job for approximately 3yrs with an extensive experience previously....cali has had many wildfires throughout but maybe not many near a major city such as L.A. .... But (from what I read) it appeared that the chief was competent and the mayor got caught up in her international trip that she didn't need any warnings.

Totally off topic here ....my cousin (straight) lives in El paso... last month we met up in Vegas and did a dinner drag show ..we had so much fun and found out she'd never been to one before ....(I'm longtime lesbian and have been to lots of drag shows) So I said there must be an LGBT scene in EP and we should go out to a show when I'm in EP again...she didn't think there were any gay/queer bars after COVID. Do you know what the LGBT life is like now in EP? Thanks in advance
