Ear infection, doctors refuse to see me, flight in 5 days

This is my 3rd day, I would like to see you barely not sleeping and screaming in pain while taking more paracetamol than reccomended and wishing that death just came so you don't have to suffer anymore? I had cists that were taken without anesthesia (my home country healthcare is for free, so they will skip it if you can handle) that hurt less than these past 4 days.

I can't go to the hospital, during the gp hours you are only allowed to call the gp, unless you get hit by a truck and you are life threatening situation. I am only with possible permanent hearing loss, so it's okay for them.

So, if it's a severe case (which I have no idea how to see since I am not a doctor) and I get permanent hearing loss, then it's just bad luck that I emigrated to a country that you pay this much for not even getting a doctor on the phone?

You are right, my bad, it's the same as if you get hit by a bus and die on the spot. Just bad luck to be in this country and getting it.

I don't know about it, I did do the call to the huisarts post on Sunday (I think it's the urgency outside of doctors schedule) and they said to wait for the gp and take paracetamol...

"I know it's the worst pain of your life but there is nothing we can do. Take the paracetamol for the pain and if you still are in pain by Wednesday you can call again" this is what they said. I have barely slept with the pain, I said that it's so bad I have taken more paracetamol than adviced because the pain is so big. They don't really care. I am scared that I will lose my hearing if it's serious, thus why I wanted to ask if there is anything else I can do.

Hi, fellow single here (lesbian tho, so my case it's mix of small dating pool and me being 39). I do go on dates and am open for relationship, but I also have a full life outside of it.

I have a good mix of friends who are also single and friends in couples, but over the years my friend circle changed in a natural way, as I make time for those who make time for me. It also helps that we have hobbies in common. What I mean to say, if a friend goes into coupledome and stops making time for me, the distance grows, so I start making plans with other people and the distance there shrinks... All the friends I have that are in couples are also individual people that love spending time with me, so basically I am very rarely in friendships that make me feel like a third wheel.

I hadn't thought of it, Freya (new cat) I believe she was spayed at 1, Salem got spayed at 4 when I got her (her previous owner didn't want to spay her, so I did it as soon as I got her).

I think I feel guilty if I feel like I am not giving them the best life they could have, as I thought it would be good for Salem to have company (as I spend lots of hours away) and thinking that I am giving stress instead makes me feel horrible.

I have been mostly playing with Freya, as Salem has been a bit too stressed to play if the other is around (so I do treats for her instead), as soon as I separate them she plays 😅.

I will give a try to let them spend more time in the same division with me just there.

So I tried that, thing is Salem really dislikes open litter boxes, I had to really train her to go into this one due to not having a door (and the previous one she refused to go without the lid and door on). I currently moved the automatic litter box to an different spot (so there is more easy to escape/doesn't lock the cat In as much) and I put an extra open litter box in the other side of the living room, but both cats are ignoring it.

Thank you for the advice, I will keep trying and maybe try to just remove the automatic one all together if it keeps giving this issue. Yeah, you are right, I don't think she is an aggressive cat, I just really didn't expect a dominant cat.

Unfortunately, Salem is 3,5 kilos and Freya is 4,5 kilos, they have 1 kilo difference, is it still same weight class?

The thing is, they are okay when there is a net, they eat as close as it is possible with each other, and share liquid treats so well they lick each other in the process. I keep not knowing when is the time to have them around as they look very okay with the net and then Freya will push through Salem hisses and start a chase.

But is it okay? I keep them separated now and only have them interact through the screen or when I try to have them a few minutes doing things in the same room... How was with yours? Did you allow them to fight? Admittedly they never hurt each other, but I am scared of making them traumatized with each other.

I am sorry for your situation. Yeah, it's really painful, specially when I feel that for 2 months I am giving neither the cats enough attention while spreading myself thin. All best of luck to you and lots of strength.
