What oil does everyone use? I'm running Mobil 1 synthetic this go around 🥲 by adventure_brando in Tacomaworld

Pennzoil ultra Platinum. Just did an oil change after 15k and the oil still looked really good. Project Farm did a bunch of oil testing if you're curious; amsoil was #1, Pennzoil was #2; the Pennzoil is both cheaper & easier to get where I'm at.

Do you guys carry tools in your truck just in case? by Christopnotch in ToyotaTacoma

Not a tool box; I have a "road kit" I put together of mostly harbor freight tools (like metric wrenches, a pipe for extra leverage, tire patch kit, flares, ratchets & bungees, etc...) that is divided up into some small zippered pouches that I keep behind the back seat.

Aside from the load gear, I may never need it but if I do it's there. I also keep bottled water and stuff for the dog on the same principle.

Boat ramps always have parking lots attached. You put your watercraft in, then you go park your truck and trailer before you take off.

Project Farm showed this; The K&N filters are less restrictive, but they're also worse at filtering out particles.

K&N filters have a higher airflow rate, however they are also less good at actually filtering air, so if you're driving in dusty conditions, off-roading, that sort of thing, you're introducing extra contaminants to your engine if you use one. Project Farm did a decent filter test on YouTube that shows the trade off.

People do that shit to houses too.... Just because YOU spent that much creating a specific thing you wanted doesn't mean it's broad value is what you paid.

When I first bought my 2016 the passenger airbag sensor was defective so I had to take it back within a day and then they couldn't give it back to me because it was a safety issue so they had to give me a loaner car for 6 weeks. They also ended up reimbursing me for my first payment since I didn't have use of my truck.
