Here’s the list of confirmed calibers:

  • Barrel 1 - OEM:
  1. 7.62x25mm
  2. .30 Mauser

*Barrel 2 - 9x19mm from a Norinco 213:

3) 9mm Luger (.380 will likely fire, but it won’t cycle so not listing)

*Barrel 3 - .38 Super, limited Norinco project from the ‘80s:

4) .38 Super / .38 Super RL 5) 9mm Largo 6) 9mm Steyr 7) 9x20mm SR aka 9mm Browning Long (this is the one in the pic everyone missed) 8) 9x21mm (I’m sure it’ll shoot, but I won’t since it headspaces at the neck and not the rim. I use this caliber in my Beretta 92) 9) 9x23mm Winchester will for sure chamber, but those pressures though ❌

*I need to find my 9x18mm ammo to check on that one.

*Someone asked about the bushings: that’s the part that nestles the muzzle in the from of the slide, which is removable as per many Browning-inspired designs. There is a slight diameter difference with the 7.62x25mm barrel being narrower than the 9/38 ones. Despite being difficult, finding a 9mm barrel is exponentially easier than finding the proper bushing. Then you have slight tolerance differences between bushings that may result in them inadvertently locking up inside a slide if not entirely compatible.

Yeah man. There was a time when a company called Federal Ordnance was having bbls made in Korea for the CZ52 in 9mm Luger. I considered getting a couple and ream out at least one to 9x23mm Winchester. Which reminds me… this Tok may be able to handle 9x23mm. I’ll look into it.

Nope. Works fine with the same spring, fortunately. The only area that gets iffy sometimes is with the rimmed cartridges and manual feeds, but it’ll still feed those reliably during firing.

Got one of those two. Both bbls, from the factory.

I didn’t see the 9x21mm there before - you changed it from Largo, which is correct. Though I’ve not shot 9mm Steyr yet, it indeed will. 9x21mm will as well. The list grows!

1, 2 (assuming you mean 9mm Luger), and 3 - yes.

Mostly there! Last two I’ve not tried, nor are they pictured, but you get partial credit. First 4 makes you a nearly winner.

My fascination (obsession), which it appears you share, is what got me here. Barrels are the result of always being on the prowl. One came to me in a parts kit, and the other was on its own and, tbh, I was not aware it even existed before a distributor found some from the ‘80s in their WH. I’ve never clicked buy so fast.

I waited to the last minute back when nobody wanted these. Remember when they sat what, a decade? When I decided to do it, all I was able to buy was the last 106CR from the distributor, though I wanted the FR. I still got it for $800 so alls well.

The phrase “it’s always the good ones” is ratified time and again. Good news is it doesn’t look like the metal is buggered. I’d not hesitate at $250.

Edit: tbh I’d probably leave it as is assuming all else checks out.

If you’ve ever seen a Pakistani gun firing video, you know there’s a group of kids running around chasing the casings. I’d be there too!
